1 復元動力 復元動力 2013年5月11日 游秀慧 新生精神康復會 行政總裁 The presentation will outline the evolution of RI in three major aspects: agency and staff, people in recovery (PIR), and families/carers. Based on the initial assessment of recovery knowledge among staff, PIR, and family caregivers, all stakeholders have some misconceptions of what recovery is about. Thus, in addition to the organizational assessment, the first series of training workshops on the recovery basics has also been delivered to staff, PIR and family carers. Compared to their counterparts who did not join the workshop, staff improved on their knowledge and attitudes though booster sessions and ongoing supervision of recovery-oriented practices are suggested. Analysis for PIR and family groups are in progress. Specialized training (e.g., Wellness Recovery Action Plan, Person-Centered Planning) has also been in place. Concurrent with training and research, recruitment and orientation of PIR and family carers into the Task Groups are in progress. This presentation will highlight some of the Association’s major milestones, struggles and achievements as well as future plans and directions in the RI. The transformation process itself also demonstrates how the Association embraces the scientist-practitioner approach by examining how recovery can be contextualized in the local culture through evidence-informed practices and research. The presentation will end with key questions for reflection, areas for improvement, and how new understandings influence our work in recovery.
