10 Grammar Time expressions
In Chinese, 上(up;above) is used to express the past time, like last week(上個星期), and last month (上個月). 下(down;below) is used to express the futer time, such as last week(下個星期), and last month(下個月). For the week before or after, reduplicate the word 上or 下, (上上個星期;下下個星期) Hui-Ju Chuang

11 Time expressions To express last year or next year/tomorrow, 去 and 明 are used, e.g. 去年 ‘last year’, 明年 ‘next year’, 明天‘tomorrow’, The day/year before and the day/year after, 前 and 後are used, e.g. 前天 ‘the day before yesterday’, 後天 ‘the day after tomorrow’ , 前年 ‘the year before’, 後年 ‘the year after’ 去天 昨天‘yesterday’ Hui-Ju Chuang
