Money Won’t Make You Rich 為神作個 有 錢 人 Money Won’t Make You Rich 路加福音19 : 1-10 Luke 19 : 1-10

19:1 耶穌進了耶利哥，正經過的時候， 19:1 Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through. 19:2 有一個人名叫撒該，作稅吏長，是個財主。 19:2 A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a tax collector and was wealthy. 19:3 他要看看耶穌是怎樣的人；只因人多，他的身量又 矮，所以不得看見， 19:3 He wanted to see who Jesus was, but because he was short he could not see over the crowd. 19:4 就跑到前頭，爬上桑樹，要看耶穌，因為耶穌必從 那裏經過。 19:4 So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way.

19:5 耶穌到了那裏，擡頭一看，對他說：撒該，快下來！ 今天我必住在你家裏。 19:5 When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up said to him, “Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.” 19:6 他就急忙下來，歡歡喜喜地接待耶穌。 19:6 So he came down at once and welcome him gladly. 19:7 眾人看見，都私下議論說：他竟到罪人家裏去住宿。 19:7 All the people saw this and began to mutter, “He has gone to be the guest of a sinner.”

19:8 撒該站著對主說：主啊，我把所有的一半給窮 人；我若訛詐了誰，就還他四倍。 19:8 But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord, “ Look, Lord! Here and now I give all half of my posessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.” 19:9 耶穌說：今天救恩到了這家，因為他也是亞伯拉 罕的子孫。 19:9 Jesus said unto him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham. 19:10 人子來，為要尋找、拯救失喪的人。 19:10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

ㄧ、願意給 Willing to Give 「先得」還是「先給」 Gain vs Give 青年財主的心在想甚麼？ What is the rich young man thinking? 「財寶在哪裡，心就在那裡」 （太6:21) where your treasure is, there your heart will be also(Matt 6:21)

二、給主 Giving to the Lord 甘心樂意的給 時間 time 才幹 talent 金錢 money

Stanley Tam is a famous Christian business man, he had established organizations for mission purpose while he was successful. He established 90 organizations and contributed 300 billions and planted 400 churches. In 1976, he had stage three spine cancer, the doctor told him there won’t be any hope for his future. But through prayers, he was fully recovered. People started to call him the miracle man ever since. Besides, he personally traveled to Korea for the gospel and contribute mission fund for Korea. He shared the reason why he can experience this kind of miracle and be in the five fold ministry is because: First of all, he praise God during suffering. Second, he never talked bad about someone. Third, when the holy spirit is upon something you have to do it even though it might cost you. Fourth, use love to cover the things which makes you mad. Fifth, at least do three things that is pleasing to the Lord within one day. When facing challenge, people try hard to come up with solution with human thinking. But when we put our problems in God’s hand he will bless us with the answers beyond comprehension. I hope we can all believe in His word and be obedient to His word. God will bless us with everlasting achievement.

三、給人 Giving to the Needy 箴19:17 憐憫貧窮的，就是借給耶和華，他的善行， 耶和華必償還。 Proverbs 19:17Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done. 徒20:35 我凡事給你們作榜樣，叫你們知道應當這樣 勞苦，扶助軟弱的人，又當記念主耶穌的話，說：施 比受更為有福。 I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

Rick Warren/Saddleback Church The last thing my wife and I did is to be the “reserve tither "My wife and I did tithing while we were married 31 years ago. We made a decision that we can owe people debt not God, so the first 10% is always God’s. So after 1st year of marriage we have raised up our tithe to 11%, 3rd year 13% but we didn’t tell no one. Now my wife and I married for 31 years and we tithe 90% and we can actually live by the 10% of our income. Why would I do that? Because I want to break the materialism. Every time I give, my heart becomes bigger like Jesus If you cannot become a generous person, there is no way you will be like Jesus. The Bible talks about the promise of giving, more than anything else. God wants us to play with him and He give us a chance to see who will win. I’ve played with God for 31 years, I lost every year.
