1．指本質上的「新」，而非時間上的「新」 2．意味著舊造的「天與地」的二分法， 將不復存在=乃是天與地將融和為一體 3．象徵邪惡的「海」將不復存在 4．聖徒所將永居的天上(7:9-17) ， 即「聖城」「新耶路撒冷」 21:2我又看見聖城新耶路撒冷由神那裏從天而降﹐預備好了﹐就如新婦妝飾整齊﹐等候丈夫。
啟示錄21﹕9-10 拿著七個金碗,盛滿末後七災的七位天使中,有 一位來對我說,你到這裏來,我要將新婦,就是 羔羊的妻,指給你看. 我被聖靈感動,天使就帶我到一座高大的山將那 由神那裏從天而降的聖城耶路撒冷指示我.

3.And once again the scene was changed;New earth there seemed to be; 又再一次情景轉變，有新天地出現！ I saw the Holy City,Beside the tideless sea; 我看見天上聖城，在平靜的海邊； The light of God was on its streets,The gates were open wide, 上帝的光普照街市，城門大開廣闊， And all who would might enter,And no one was denied. 願意的人都可來，不要拒絕前往。 No need of moon or stars by night,Or sun to shine by day; 夜間無須月亮星辰，白晝無須日光； It was the new Jerusalem,That would not pass away. 那就是新耶路撒冷，永遠堅固長存；
