Distributed Algorithms (黃廷祿) What are distributed algorithm? Examples are Mutual Exclusion, Byzantine agreement, consistent global snapshot, etc. Asynchrony of distributed systems is what makes it difficult to design distributed algorithms. It is a rich and challenging area for research.
Current Topics Mutual exclusion algorithms using Read-Modify-Write primitives. Lower bound results for mutual exclusion problems in the read-modify-write shared memory model.
