4 GALE在线子数据库简介 Gale系列数据库覆盖人文社科类学科，收录商业、经济、财政、金融、文学、科学、政治、政府、历史、多文化研究、商业、体育、艺术和当今事件等，还包括众多国际性及地区性的组织和协会简介以及作家传记、文学批评和20世纪的历史信息等内容。

This database combines award-winning biographies from respected Gale Group sources. Biography Resource Center also includes full-text articles from hundreds of periodicals. 9 History Resource Center: Modern World 世界历史资源中心
History Resource Center: Modern World draws on themes and trends from the history curriculum for the 20th Century, and seamlessly integrates reference sources from the Gale Group, Macmillan Reference USA and Charles Scribner's Sons, along with full-text articles from more than 100 academic journals, and maps and images. Gale在线数据库的旗舰产品： Literature Resource Center 文学资源中心 囊括Gale近五十年来最引以为荣的著名印刷系列。这些系列在相应的文学分支中是最权威的参考书，历来是各高校及公共图书馆的必备藏书。如：Contemporary Literary Criticism, Twentieth-Century Literary Criticism, Contemporary Authors等等； 包含250种文学学术期刊中的40万篇全文文章； 可链接至5000多个经过专家严格挑选的相关站点；

11 1万条文学术语定义，来自于Merriam-Webster’s Encyclopedia of Literature (韦氏文学大百科全书)；
涵盖Modern Language Association(MLA现代语言协会模块)。文学、语言及语言学方面的研究人员能够获取从1963年开始的180万条书目信息以及数万个各种文学风格的作家的传记、评论文章及刊物文章； MLA International Bibliography涉及了此数据库中约75%的全文学术期刊。用户可从书目信息直接链接到相应的全文文章。
