1/4 教會唯一的根基，是主耶穌基督 蒙主重造恩新奇，栽培澆灌祝福 主從天上來尋她，為主聖潔新婦 捨身流血的代價，堅立永遠基礎 The Church’s one foundation Is Jesus Christ her Lord, She is His new creation By water and the Word. From heaven He came and sought her To be His holy bride; With His own blood He bought her And for her life He died.

2/4 雖從萬邦選出來，信徒都從一體 教會合一的根據 一主、一信、一洗 同尊唯一的聖名，同餐唯一天糧 同懷唯一的希望，同蒙恩愛久長 Elect from every nation, Yet one o’er all the earth; Her charter of salvation, One Lord, one faith, one birth; One holy Name she blesses, Partakes one holy food, And to one hope she presses, With every grace endued.

3/4 雖她經歷了艱辛，受人譏笑毀謗 內爭分裂了她身，異端叛逆中傷 聖徒焦慮對問說，黑夜到底多長 哭泣即將變歌聲，轉瞬便見晨光 ’Mid toil and tribulation, And tumult of her war, She waits the consummation Of peace forevermore; Till, with the vision glorious, Her longing eyes are blest, And the great Church victorious Shall be the Church at rest.

4/4 她雖在地卻聯合，真神三位一體 已享安息的眾聖，奧祕永恆團契 直到欲穿的望眼，看見光榮家鄉 到時凱旋的教會，得享安樂無疆 Yet she on earth hath union With God the Three in One, And mystic sweet communion With those whose rest is won, With all her sons and daughters Who, by the Master’s hand Led through the deathly waters, Repose in Eden land.
