现状 Status 煤炭是我国的主要能源，分别占一次能源生产和消费总量的76%和69%，在未来相当长的时期内，我国仍将是以煤为主的能源结构。 Coal, dominant energy source in China, occupies 76% and 69% of each production and consumption of total primary energy nowadays. And in quite a long time in future, coal will still be the main energy source in China.

现状 Status China’s coal resource distribution

现状 Status 褐煤保有探明资源量1300亿吨。 Brown coal explored available resources is about 130 billion tons in China. Most brown coal are in the northeast area of China.

现状 Status 2007年全国煤炭产量约25.23亿t。 In 2007, raw coal production is about billion tons. 其中电煤的耗量超过总产煤量的50％。 In which, coal consumption for electric power, higher by 50%. 2010年煤炭生产总量将控制在26亿吨。 By 2010, total coal production will be controlled bellow 2.6 billion tons.

现状 Status 2007年全国发电装机总容量为7.13亿kW，火电装机容量为5.54亿kW，约占总容量77.73%。 By the end of 2007,total generation capacity is 713GW, and the fossil fuel power capacity is 554GW,which occupies 77.73% of total capacity. 2007年全国供电煤耗为357g/kWh，比2005年降低9g/kWh。 In 2007, coal rate for power net output is 357g/kWh, lower by 9g/kWh than 2006.

Sub-critical PC Units The total brown coal generation capacity (unit capacity >200MW) is about 13GW. Most are Sub-critical pulverized coal units.

Sub-critical PC Units The First imported 300MW brown coal PC units had been put in service in 1978 (yuanbaoshan power plant unit 1). The First imported 600MW brown coal PC units had been put in service in 1985 (yuanbaoshan power plant unit 2). The First Localized 300MW brown coal PC units had been put in service in 1994 (shuangliao power plant unit 1). The First Localized 600MW brown coal PC units had been put in service in 1998 (yuanbaoshan power plant unit 3).

Sub-critical PC Units Two type of coal pulverizing system. Fan mill system. Medium-speed mill system. Most power plant’s pulverizing system are fan mill system

Sub-critical PC Units The selection of system depends on the brown coal surface moisture content(Mf). Normally , for medium-speed mill system, Mf<19. Recently some project attempt to use medium-speed mill system for Mf up to 26%，which are under construction.

PC-SC,USC >10 sets of 600MW super-critical pc unit fueled brown coal are under construction, First will put into service in 2008. 1000MW ultra-supercritical pc unit for brown coal is under developing.

Large-Scaled CFB By June 2008, 6 units of 300MW CFB which burns brown coal had been put in service. All located in Southwest of China.

Large-Scaled CFB Kai Yuan Power Plant the first 300MW CFB unit with brown coal . Mt,ar=34.7% Mf=26.6% Vdaf=52.7% Put in service in Jan, 2006.

IGCC With Brown Coal Feasibility study of IGCC project uses brown coal as feedstock is undertaken in Northeast of China. The Gasifier capacity will be 2000 t/d. Projects are waiting for approvement.

Coal Drying Feasibility study of brown coal drying technology is undertaken in some projects. To reduce the coal moisture content, so can use medium-speed mill systems. No implemented project in power generation sector.
