First of all, I would like to thank the organizer of this forum, Sichuan Provincial Department of Commerce, to create such a great platform, not only for the ASEAN country members to show the advantages for attracting foreign investment that we have, but also for Chinese entrepreneurs to acquire the all information and choose the best location for your business.

Labor Force: 40 Million 劳动人口：4000 万人 In recent years, Thailand has developed into an upper middle-income country, with the 2nd largest economy in ASEAN – the Association of Southeast Asia Nations. Thailand, located at the center of ASEAN, has a total population of more than 67 million and a workforce of close to 40 million. The per capita GDP in 2014 was about USD5550. 5 Cost of Doing Business in Thailand
泰国经商的主要成本 Corporate Income Tax: 10% - 20% 企业所得税率：10% - 20% VAT: 7% 增值税：7% Minimum Wage: BHT 300 per day 最低工资：每日300泰铢 Social Welfare Afforded by Employer: 5% 雇主需承担雇员的社保金缴纳比例：5% Low Cost of Office Occupancy: USD 32/sq ft/annum in Bangkok 办公室租赁：曼谷：每年每平方英尺32美金 In this slide, you could find the main cost when you are doing business in Thailand. Corporate income tax, 10% for Regional Operating Headquarters, and 20% for manufacturing industry. VAT in Thailand is 7%, and daily minimum wage in law is 300 Baht, approximately RMB 60 Yuan. The ratio of social welfare paid by company is only 5%, which is much lower than in China. When you lease the office in Bangkok, the rental is also lower than many other main cities in Asia, such as Beijing, Tokyo, Singapore, Jakarta, Ho Chi Minh City, Kuala Lumpur.

8 BOI Introduction (1/2) 投资委简介
The Office of the Board of Investment is a government agency under the Office of the Prime Minister. 泰国投资促进委员会是直属国务院的政府机构。 Chairman : Prime Minister 投资委主席：泰国总理 Its main roles and responsibilities are in promoting investment by both foreign and local investors through “Tax - based incentives” and “Non - Tax incentives”. 主要职责与义务是以税收和非税收激励措施，鼓励国内外投资者来泰投资。 Thailand Board of Investment (BOI in short) is a government agency affiliated to the Office of the Prime Minister. Prime Minister of Thailand is our Chairman. BOI’s main responsibilities are to promote investment by both foreign and local investors through “tax-based incentives” and “Non-tax incentives”.
