5 Windows Vista的版本 Windows Vista Home Basic Home Premium Business
提供家庭網路連線使用的版本，主要功能大致包含有：親子控制(Parental Control)，資料蒐尋與改善的網路功能與安全、可靠性 Home Premium 主要比Basic版本多提供了Windows Aero、Windows Media Center(MCE)與一些多媒體功能(如DVD燒錄)，以及平板電腦(Tablet PC)、行動運算等的支援 Business 提供辦公室商用桌上型電腦與行動電腦(Notebook)所需。定位在企業運算環境所需的網路與安全、管理功能(AD、GP)。包含所有的Home Basic的版本功能(加上Aero)，以及企業環境所需要的平板電腦支援、行動運算功能，以及像傳真、掃描等企業資源的使用。 Enterprise 是Business版本加上一些特殊功能如Windows BitLocker、作業系統多國語言使用介面、Virtual Server Express與對Unix應用程式的支援(SUA) Ultimate 包含Home Premium與Enterprise的所有功能，工作與娛樂兩方面都兼具
