4 The single-cylinder four-stroke internal combustion engine (单缸四冲程内燃机)

5 Mechanism(机构): A movable device that can transform motion and forces(传递运动和力的可动装置).

6 Machine(机器):It is a mechanical system that can transmit or transform energy, materials or imformation. 1)Structrual(结构上):It is a composition of links(人为的实物组合体). 2)Kinematic(运动上):There is a determined relative motion between links(各部分之间都有确定的相对运动). 3)Functional(功能上):It can transform or transmit energy(传递或转换机械能).

7 1.1.2 Main contents(主要内容): 1.Analyze the structure , kinematic and force of the mechanism(对机构进行结构分析,运动分析和受力分析). 2.Introduce some commonly-used mechanisms: linkage mechanisms, cam mechanisms, gear mechanisms and other mechanisms in common use and the design methods of all kinds of mechanisms(介绍一些常用机构: 连杆机构, 凸轮机构, 齿轮机构, 其它常用机构及各种机构的设计方法). 3. Creative design of mechanism selection and mechanical system(机构选型及机械系统方案的创新设计).

8 1-2 Purpose of study (学习本课程的目的) 1. These course will provide the foundation for studies in professional courses(为学习专业课打基础). 2. It is the necessary mechanical basic knowledge for engineering students (是工科学生必备的关于机械方面的基础知识).

9 1-3 How to study (如何进行本课程的学习)
1.To make sense of the basic concepts and the basic principles and grasp the basic methods of mechanism analysis and synthesis(搞清楚基本概念, 理解基本原理,掌握机构分析和综合的基本方法). 2 .To link up general principles and methods with practical application of mechanisms and machines(把一般原理和方法与研究实际机构和机器时的具体运用密切联系起来). 3.To foster our solving engeering problems abilities by means of basic theory and methods we have already learned (培养自己运用所学的基本理论和方法去分析和解决工程实际问题的能力).

Mechanism and Machine Theory (机械原理学科发展现状) Linkage mechanisms(连杆机构): To attach importance to spatial linkage mechanisms, multi-connected rods and multi-degree of freedom mechanisms, elastodynamics and dynamical balancing of linkage mechanisms(重视空间连杆机构,多杆多自由度机构, 连杆弹性动力学和连杆的动力平衡). Cam mechanisms(凸轮机构):To attach importance to the research of high speed cam(重视对高速凸轮的研究).

11 Gear mechanisms(齿轮机构):meshing theory has been developed, tooth profile curves are presented, studying on high-speed gear, precision gear and micro gear are accelerated(发展了啮合原理,提出新型齿廓曲线,加速了对高速齿轮, 精密齿轮和微型齿轮的研制).
