社會福利署於一九九八年開展 【義工運動】 The Social Welfare Department launched a “Volunteer Movement” in 1998 行政長官夫人董趙洪娉女士 擔任義工總領袖 The wife of the Chief Executive as the “Volunteer-in-Chief”

建立一個關懷、互助的社會 To build a caring community 肯定個人的自我價值 To promote self-fulfillment 開發及善用社會資源 To develop community resources 加強市民對香港的歸屬感 To promote sense of belonging

Background and Development of the Volunteer Movement (con’t) The Mechanism of the Volunteer Movement An effective and comprehensive steering mechanism is an important element for the Movement to success The Steering Committee is to steer and formulate strategies for launching the Movement. Four sub-committees, each focuses on students and youth, corporate, community organizations and overall promotion and publicity, to devise action plan for promoting participation of its targets.

協助企業與非政府機構/需要義工的服務團體建立聯繫 To assist in building up connection between corporation and NGOs/ service organization 透過義工網頁找尋合適服務機會 To search service opportunities through Volunteer Movement Web Site

13 企業義務工作顧問計劃 Corporate Volunteer Mentor Scheme
目的 Objectives： 透過分享成功義務工作的經驗，協助企業成立義工隊 help corporations to participate through sharing of successful corporate volunteer experiences 讓更多人知道企業義務工作的服務 raise the visibility of corporate volunteering
