2 名詞子句定義: 置於句子裏作用等同於名詞的子句。

4 二、wh-疑問詞引導的間接問句做名詞子句
Tell me what I can do for you. (告訴我我可以為你做什麼。)

5 三、whether或if引導表示是或否的間接問句做名詞 子句
I am not sure whether/ if it will rain tomorrow. (我不確定明天是否會下雨。)

6 因具有名詞的性質,可做為主詞, 及物動詞的受詞,介系詞的受詞或主詞補語

1. 作為主詞 That the earth goes around the sun is true. =It is true that the earth goes around the sun. (地球繞著太陽運行是真的。)

2. 作為主詞補語 The most important thing is that you have to study hard. (最重要的是你必須要用功。)

10 I think that you should tell the truth.
3. 作為受詞 I think that you should tell the truth. 我認為你應該說實話

11 John is worried that he can’t pass the important exam.
4. S+ Bev + ADJ+ THAT John is worried that he can’t pass the important exam. (John擔心他無法通過這個重要的考試。)

5. 接在名詞後面做為同位語 My sister told me the news that the department store will have a big sale. (我姐姐告訴我這家百貨公司將舉行大拍賣這個消息。)

13 類型二:wh-開頭引導的間接問句做為名詞子句
直接問句:Wh-疑問詞 + be-v/助v + 主詞+原型動詞 改為間接問句的要點在於疑問詞之後為直述句的型式 故句型為:主要子句+ wh疑問詞+ 主詞+動詞…..

14 1.含有BeV的問句 直接問句:疑問詞 + beV + 主詞…? 間接問句:主要子句+疑問詞+ 主詞 + beV…?
例一:What is your brother doing? 你哥哥正在做什麼? Tell me what your brother is doing. 告訴我你哥哥正在做什麼

15 Who is she? (她是誰?) Do you know who she is? (你知道她是誰嗎?)

2.含有助動詞的問句 直接問句:疑問詞 + 助動詞+ 主詞 +原型V…? 間接問句:主要子句+疑問詞 +主詞 +助V + 原V 例一:How can I get to the train station? 我該如何到火車站? Please tell me how I can get to the train station. 請告訴我我該如何到火車站

例二:When will John get to Taipei tomorrow? John明天何時會到達台北? Do you have any idea when John will get to Taipei tomorrow? 你知道John明天何時會到達台北?

18 Where did you go yesterday? I want to know where you went yesterday.
3. 簡單現在式及簡單過去式的疑問句 當直接問句為簡單現在式或簡單過去式時, 句型:疑問詞+助V(do/does/did)+主詞+原V…? 改為間接問句時,去掉助動詞do/does/did, 依直接問句的時態及主詞的人稱單複數調整動詞 間接問句:主要子句+疑問詞+主詞+V Where did you go yesterday? 你昨天去哪裏了? I want to know where you went yesterday. 我想知道你昨天去哪裏了

19 Do you know what time Tony gets up every morning?
What time does Tony get up every morning? Tony每天早上幾點起床? Do you know what time Tony gets up every morning? 你知道Tony每天早上幾點起床?

20 We want to know what happened.
4. 疑問詞本身兼為主詞 當直接問句為疑問詞+V+….? 此時的疑問詞兼有疑問詞與主詞的功能,故間接問句的型式不改 主要子句+疑問詞+V 例一:What happened? 發生什麼事了? We want to know what happened. 我們想知道發生什麼事了

21 Did you see who broke the window?
誰打破窗戶? Did you see who broke the window? 你看到是誰打破窗戶嗎?

22 Wh-開頭的名詞子句轉變成為名詞片語 條件一:若主要子句的主詞或受詞與間接問句(名詞子句)的主詞 為同一人時。 條件二:當間接問句的句型為
疑問詞+主詞+can(could)/should/would+原V, 則整可改寫成為:主要子句+疑問詞+ to+ 原型V

例一:Please show us how we should use the cellphone. Please show us how to use the cellphone. 例二:Have you decided what you will eat for dinner? Have you decided what to eat for dinner?

24 David didn’t tell his mom where to go.
例三:David didn’t tell his mom where he would go. David didn’t tell his mom where to go.

25 類型三:whether或if引導的間接問句做為名詞子句
直接問句: (yes- no疑問句) BeV或助V +主詞 + 原Ｖ．．．．？ 　改為間接問句時需以whethe或 if 引 導 　句型：主要子句+ whether (or not) + 主詞 + V … (or not) if + 主詞 + V … (or not)

26 I’m not sure whether (or not)/ if Kevin is at home (or not).
含有BeV 的問句 直接問句:句型:BeV + 主詞 +…..? 間接問句:主要子句+ whether/ if 主詞 + beV….. 例一: Is Kevin at home? Kevin在家嗎? I’m not sure whether (or not)/ if Kevin is at home (or not). I’m not sure if Kevin is at home (or not).

27 Were they in Taipei last week?
例二: Were they in Taipei last week? 他們上週在台北嗎? The police wants to know whether (or not)/ if they were in Taipei last week (or not)/. 警察想知道他們上週是否在台北

28 He didn’t tell me whether (or not)/ if he can play tennis(or not).
含有助V 的問句 直接問句:句型:助V + 主詞 + 原V…..? 間接問句:主要子句 + whether/ if 主詞 + 助V +原V Can he play tennis? 他會打網球嗎? He didn’t tell me whether (or not)/ if he can play tennis(or not). 他並沒有告訴我他會不會打網球

29 Will Tina study in England?
We want to know whether (or not)/ if Tina will study in England(or not). 我們想知道Tina將到英國念書嗎?

30 Did you talk with the boss?
當直接問句為簡單現在式或簡單過去式時, 助V(do/does/did)+主詞+原V…? 改為間接問句時,去掉助V(do/ does/ did), 依直接問句的時態及主詞的人稱單複數調整動詞 Did you talk with the boss? 你昨天和老闆討論了嗎? We want to know whether(or not)/if you talked with the boss(or not). 我們想知道你昨天和老闆討論了嗎

31 Does he get up early every morning?
他每天早起嗎? I don’t know whether(or not)/ if he gets up early every morning (or not). 我不知道他是否每天早起?
