Its history parallels the evolution of society through buildings from the house to the city. The intentions, its instruments and form are the core of the study of architecture. 为了追求安全与永恒而去建造遮蔽所是人类的本能行为,建筑学是对这种本能行为更为正式的拓展。 建筑学的历史反映于从建造房屋到建造城市的社会进步之中。 建造的意图、手段及其建成的形态构成了建筑学研究的核心。
