Clients Every student and staff member a customer of all JULAC libraries 所有联校师生都是用户 Collections & Services The collections and services of JULAC libraries represent a combined resource available to all JULAC成员馆馆藏和服务对所有联校师生全面开放 Integration Aim to provide comprehensive and seamless access to information resources or services at each library 整合的目的是向每个成员馆提供全面和无缝的信息资 源及服务

Strategic Fit JULAC programs aim to extend, enhance and supplement the resources and services of individual libraries. Programs must be aligned with the overall strategic objectives of both JULAC and the participating member libraries 目标一致： JULAC项目的目的是扩大、提升和补充成员馆 的资源和服务，参与成员馆的目标必须与JULAC一致 Consensus A program is pursued by JULAC only if at least 6 of 8 member libraries are in support Individual libraries may choose not to participate in all programs based on needs, priorities and circumstances 达到共识： JULAC项目需要有至少6个成员馆同意参加， 成员馆根据本馆的需要、重点和具体情况来决定是否参加 JULAC项目

Participation Commitment to JULAC programs entails active participation of Directors and staff of each library (e.g. : Committee membership) 参与： 对JULAC项目的承诺需要每个图书馆的馆长和员 工的积极参与 Funding Programs will be jointly funded according to their anticipated level of use by each institution and the size/capacity of the institution 经费： JULAC项目经费根据成员馆参与及利用的程度， 图书馆的规模及能力来承担

Patron initiated request via OPAC 读者通过OPAC预订图书 Access to over 5,000,000 books 可借阅五百多万种图书 Pilot 2004, full service 2005 2004年试行，2005年向八间联校图书馆全面服务 Over 420,000 loans generated in 2006/07 2006/07年度有超过420，000借书量 Reduction in mediated inter-lending 减少馆际互借服务 Reduction of in-person borrowing 减少读者直接到访成员馆借书 Balance between supply and demand 平衡供应与需求 Balancing of load of in-person borrowing 平衡了直接到访成员馆借书的工作量

Group membership of “RAPID” USA resource sharing consortia Unmediated document delivery Patron initiated request via electronic databases Delivery of document to patron desktop Prioritizes DDS requests to US libraries, then to JULAC libraries Streamlined local DDS services - reduction in cost and time of mediated document request and delivery Cost reduced through consortial JULAC membership JULAC 作为美国RAPID资源共享联盟会员 直接进行文献传递 会员馆通过电子数据库预订文献 直接将文献传递给会员馆 首先向美国会员馆预订文献，然后向香港联校申请 改善本地文献传递系统服务流程，提高效率并减少费用 JULAC 作为联盟会员，减少费用
