So, just to put TCEB in context, TCEB is really Thailand’s equivalent of a Convention and Visitor Bureaux, which are established at national level in most countries to support their domestic MICE sectors in various ways. And as I’m sure most of you will already know, Thailand’s MICE industry has undergone phenomenal growth over the past 5 years or so, and its contribution is not only important in terms of its significant economic contribution to GDP, but is also important to our national image as a whole. Today we have a mature MICE sector with world-class venues, professional support services and a highly competitive price point, which is why Thailand is already highly regarded as a global MICE destination. And TCEB was established, of course, to consolidate and extend the competencies and global reach of our partners in the private sector, so that we can build on the industry’s many accomplishments thus far. 5 「會議酬謝」方案 (適用期間：2008年10月 – 2009年12月) 注意事項： 現金補助只限於泰國當地之花費
必須由客戶或會議主辦單位提出申請，請將申請文件一併附上活動簡介，直接向TCEB總局申請 TCEB保留現金補助之審核批准權利，所批准之金額只可適用於下列項目 當地交通接駁 當地 PR 及品牌露出安排 會議場地租金 (只限於場租，不包括餐飲) 社交宴會 支付當地主辦單位之服務費用 活動當中必須包含TCEB的品牌露出 活動舉辦完畢後，必須由當地供應商或相關單位提出與會代表名單以請款

6 「雙倍得利」方案 需事先預約 需符合之條件： (適用期間：2008年10月 – 2010年12月)

With Governments paying increasing attention to this industry, this presentation also seeks to identify the possible roles governments can play to support the MICE industry and grow the business. The Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau will be used as a case study to illustrate how Governments could champion and facilitate the development and growth of the MICE industry and promote the economy as a premier MICE destionatiion.
