3 Student qualification
Valid full-time students must satisfy either one of the conditions: Under 26 years old AND have a “Student ID card with photo”. Register stamp of last semester is required. Born before September 1st 1998, AND have any state-issued photo identification (passport, driver’s license, etc.). Disqualified attendees must pay the difference of full-price ticket upon entry to the conference.

5 RISC-V RISC-V: Berkeley Hardware for Your Berkeley Software (Distribution) Arun Thomas 是 BAE Systems 的 Senior Principal Research Engineer 及 RISC-V 基金會的 Software 工作小組主席 對 RISC-V 整個軟硬體系統做完整的介紹，並且針對在 BSD 作業系統的發展和應用上說明 FreeBSD/RISC-V and Device Drivers Ruslan Bukin 是劍橋大學的研究工程師，目前是 FreeBSD 在 RISC-V 平台的主要負責人 演講探討 FreeBSD 移植到 RISC-V 平台的過程，還有開發裝置驅動程式的方法及注意事項

6 Virtualization & Cloud
OpenBSD, Virtualisation, and the Cloud Reyk Floeter 是 Esdenera Networks 和資深的 OpenBSD 開發人員，近年來在 Virtualization 還有 Cloud applicance 方面有很多貢獻 Graphics support in bhyve Peter Grehan 是 Tidalscale 的工程師，Bhyve (BSD hypervisor) 的發起人之一，到現在也持續在對 Bhyve 的各個部份做修改。Bhyve 被應用在很多地方，如 FreeNAS 中的虛擬機系統。 Bhyve 本來是為了伺服器端的虛擬化開發的，近年來也為了桌面的各式應用做修改，其中最重要的就是圖形界面相關子系統。

Theo de Raadt 是最重視 Security 的 OpenBSD 和 OpenSSH 的發起人及計畫領導。過去二十年來，他在作業系統及資訊安全方面佔了相當重要的地位 他將在這次會議中分享在作業系統中各項安全方面的功能 Case studies of sandboxing base system with Capsicum Mariusz Zaborski 是 Wheel System 的產品開發 leader，也是 Capsicum 的 support daemon: Casper 作者 Capsicum 是源自劍橋大學基於 FreeBSD 開發的 capability and sandbox framework，現在已經被移植到像 Linux 和 Chrome OS 等系統上

High Performance Computing and GPU acceleration: Where Do We Stand? Johannes M Dieterich 是普林斯頓大學 Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering 的 Research Group Manager。普林斯頓大學在 High Performance Computing 一直佔有領先的地位，Johannes 的團隊使用 FreeBSD 還有利用 GPU 加速功不可沒 他在會議中將會把 HPC 的各方面，從程式語言，編譯器到平行計算和數值計算，介紹 FreeBSD 在科學計算上面的應用

9 ZFS ZFS: Advanced Integration
Allen Jude 是 ScaleEngine Inc. 的 VP of operations，FreeBSD 現任的 Core Team 成員之一，也是 BSDNOW.tv 的主持人之一，近幾年來在 ZFS 上面有很多貢獻，也是 FreeBSD Mastery: Advanced ZFS 的作者之一

10 OS Design & Implementation
Is it time to replace mmap? Brooks Davis 是 SRI International 的資深工程師和劍橋大學的 Research Fellow，也是前 FreeBSD Core Team 的成員，他在 FreeBSD 的基礎建設有相當多的貢獻，他將分享對於 mmap 這個 system call 在代的作業系統中，應該有的更好設計 Memory Management Improvements in FreeBSD 12.0 Mark Johnston 是 Dell MEC Isilon 的 OS team 工程師，長期的 DTrace 開發者 這兩年來，他參與了 FreeBSD 在實體還有虛擬記憶體管理部份的重構還有優化。記憶體管理是作業系統內很重要的子系統，和其他各子系統息息相關，在安全和效能上站了很大的地位

11 Misc Poudrière image Baptiste Daroussin 是 Gandi 的 CTO，現任 FreeBSD Core Team 和 portmgr 的成員，也是 pkg 和 poudreire 的作者 pkg 是 FreeBSD 的 binary package 的格式還有管理工具，而 poudreire 是 pkg 的系統化建置工具 這個演講會介紹現在 poudreire 又增加了產生 FreeBSD 的各式客制化安裝工具還有硬像檔的功能，這對要使用 FreeBSD 為績礎做產品是相當重要的功能
