2 THREE LIGHTS TO GUIDE ME 引導我的三盞燈
1st Light: 第一盞燈 The Word Of God (Objective Standard) 上帝的話語（客觀標準） 2nd Light: 第二盞燈 The Holy Spirit (Subjective Standard) 聖靈（主觀標準） 3rd Light: 第三盞燈 Circumstances (Divine Providence) 環境（神的眷顧） In the same way, for our safety, God has provided 3 lights to guide us: The Word of God OBJECTIVE standard --The Holy Spirit -- SUBJECTIVE standard --Circumstances -- DIVINE providence. These 3 lights must be perfectly lined up --together, they assured us that the directions we received from God will lead us safely along the way that is His perfect will for us. Talk about 1st 2 lights, 3rd light next week.

OBJECTIVE standard （客觀標準） Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:31-32 約 8:31 耶穌對信他的猶太人說：你們若常常遵守我的道，就真是我的門徒； 約 8:32 你們必曉得真理，真理必叫你們得以自由。

4 “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”
1. The written WORD OF GOD is the DECISIVE FACTOR in guidance. 上帝書寫成文的話語是引導我們的關鍵要素 “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” 2 Peter 1:17 彼後 1:17 「這是我的愛子，我所喜悅的。」 “…we have the word of the prophets made more certain.” 2 Peter 1:19 彼後 1:19 我們並有先知更確的預言，如同燈照在暗處。

Bible Roulette --can't open the Bible at random looking for a verse ILLN: "Judas went and hang himself" Matt. 27:6 "Go and do likewise" Luke 10:37 “Whatever you do, do it quickly" Jn 13:27 ILLN: Guy interested in girl named Grace --seek God’s guidance, pray "Grace be unto you from our Lord Jesus Christ" ILLN: (But God sometimes work this way--Grace & Sovereignty of God--exception & not the rule) e.g. Joe & Mary (Mt 1:20) --Angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife."

The Rev. Roy A. Yanke, 37, entered the plea in exchange for federal prosecutors' promise to seek a sentence of no more than seven years in prison. The charges carry a top sentence of 20 years imprisonment. Yanke was arrested Jan. 9 at his office at Covenant Alliance Curch in suburgan Birmingham after a car he rented was identified in one of two bank robberies committed that day. He confessed to 14 robberies beginning Sept 13, 1989, and told investigators he used the money to hire prostitutes, ranging from high-priced call girls to streetwalkers. As U.S. District Judge Barbara Hackett questioned him Tuesday, Yanke admitted carrying out each of the 14 holdups. He said he was armed with a BB gun and used a variety of disguises. 13 2ND Light: 第二盞燈 THE HOLY SPIRIT 聖靈 SUBJECTIVE standard 主觀標準
“However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.” John 16:13 約 16:13 只等真理的聖靈來了，他要引導你們明白（原文作進入）一切的真理；因為他不是憑自己說的，乃是把他所聽見的都說出來，並要把將來的事告訴你們。

14 ACTIVE 主動 HOW DOES THE HOLY SPIRIT GUIDE? 聖靈如何引導？
1. Positive - DIRECTIVE Guidance. 積極 - 方向性指引 ACTIVE 主動 Then the Spirit said to Philip, “Go near and overtake this chariot.” Acts 8:29 徒 8:29 聖靈對腓利說：你去！貼近那車走。

15 Old Testament Examples :舊約例子：
i. Samuel 撒母耳: EXTERNAL and AUDIBLE 外在, 有聲 ii. Elijah 以利亞: INTERNAL and INAUDIBLE 內在, 無聲 “still small voice” 1 Kings 19:12 王上 19:12 火後有微小的聲音 “Be still and know that I am God.” Ps. 46:10 詩 46:10 你們要休息，要知道我是　神！
