is created for initiating a new discussion. A post is a message for replying to a thread. A comment is a message used to reply to a post. In the 7-weeks course period for the MOOC used in this research, 8,169 threads, 21,434 posts, 22,166 comments created by 7,389 forum users.

all of the forum users are divided into 7 groups based on weeks of involvements, from 1 to 7 weeks. 表 每周参与论坛的用户情况 有81个用户参与了7周,这7周中平均创建了113个回复,平均收到了80.31个回复。即发得多,收到的回复也多。这些人是对论坛贡献更大的。 此外,113是83的1.4倍,所以这些用户发的比,收到的回复更多,说明他们更热心于回复他人。 持续6周和7周的用户,为active user,其他的为 non-active user

Amount of replies, both posts and comments, a thread receives (replies of a thread).一个thread的包含的帖子数 发得多,说明参与的人多、facilitate user participa tion 影响越大 3. How long does the discussions continue within a thread (duration of a thread).一个Thread持续的时间 持续时间长,an influential or engaging topic.

Positive 说明 helpful and beneficial to other users Negative 说明improper or irrelevant to the discussion topic. 有more positive vote的人 ,lead to positive impacts. 有more negative vote的人 ,lead to negative impacts.

14 问题2 Do Active Users Make Positive Course Contributions?
positive vote +1, negative vote is -1 图a和b反映了 45.9% posts made by active users receive positive votes, which is 7.3% higher than the posts created by typical users. For the fraction of comments with positive votes in the overall course, active users also have the higher proportion than typical users, which are 37.7% and 26.6%, respectively.

15 对我们的启示 给学生讨论情况评分 方案1、找出积极分子 ,给他们加分
方案2、按照课程持续周数,也整理出讨论参与情况,根据参与的周数、post次数、comment次数、点赞次数、被点赞次数,形成一个模型,给每个学生的讨论情况评分、发帖字数。帖子主题的分类:问题(难易)、回答(部分、完整),NLP处理 省考成绩优秀和一般的学生,讨论区的表现, 不同学院,不同专业的区别 方案3 :分析出 superposters,给他们多加分,并表扬示范 ,结合他们的其他网络学习行为,给他们画像。 方案4 分析哪些学生是沉默的,结合他们的其他网络学习行为,给他们画像。
