1 唯獨榮耀上帝 Soli Deo Groria 約翰福音John 9:1-11

2 原始宗教 Primitive Religion
原始宗教 primitive religion：也稱自然宗教Natural Religion，不知 道上帝的存在，看見大自然的力量，因此敬畏大自然，從敬畏害 怕的心對大自然產生崇拜。Worship Natures due to afraid of phenomena of Nature. 這時期的宗教思維雖不理性，但也反映出當時的想法。The religious thinking although not rational but it responded the true thinking at the moment. 因為不知道神的旨意，因此常引入自我的想法來解釋苦難，例如， 生病是罪的結果。Because of do not know the will of God so explain the suffering by committing to sin.

3 宿命論 Fatalism 落土時，八字命after you were born, your fate is decided.
好命，命好：good fate, good fortune 在宿命論思想下，很自然會認為今日的苦難是因為命運 使然。The suffering is due to fate and cannot be avoided. 宿命論加上階級制度，人容易被奴役。We are enslaved by fatalism and the caste system. 但主耶穌願意釋放我們，使我們得自由。We are freed by Jesus Christ and only Jesus can set us free.

4 耶穌過去的時候，看見一個人生來是瞎眼的。As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth
主耶穌看見一個生來瞎眼的，有幾個可能： 1.他看來很可憐。He looked poor. 2.他長得很特別。He looked unique. 3.主早就知道他了。Jesus knows him for a long time. 沒有人可以用自己的方法吸引主耶穌注意，但主的慈愛 憐憫會注意到被人忽略的人。 No one can attract Jesus by his own might but the Lord in his mercy will take care of the one who is ignored.

5 一、在自己的苦難中榮耀神 to glorify God even in suffering vv1-3
1 耶穌過去的時候，看見一個人生來是瞎眼的。 2  門徒問耶穌說：拉比，這人生來是瞎眼的，是誰犯了罪？是 這人呢？是他父母呢？ 3  耶穌回答說：也不是這人犯了罪，也不是他父母犯了罪，是 要在他身上顯出神的作為來。  1 As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. 2 His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” 3 “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him.

6 生來瞎眼blind from birth： 猶太人常認為生來殘缺是因為罪的問題。但主耶穌 不贊成「無憐憫」的宗教態度。The Jews thought that physical disability was caused by sin but Jesus disagreed with this merciless attitude. 不管我們多可憐，當我們遇見主，我們都可以得著 釋放，生命得改變。No matter how dire our situations might be, when we meet Jesus, we can be freed and our life can be changed. 瞎眼的弟兄

7 馬丁路德 Martin Luther 唯獨十字架是我們的神學 The Cross alone is our theology
十架神學 theologia crucis 榮耀神學 theologia gloriae 路德的上帝，是我們僅能透過對照（contrast）來知曉，只有經由對照之律可以看見上帝；7 路德認為上帝的德能是柔弱、苦難、十字架、受迫害等，這些是上帝的兵器；「人的力量為十字架所倒空，而在十字架的軟弱中上帝的能力臨在」 榮耀的神學具有想靠行為稱義的傾向，十字架神學則是對人徹底失望，而全然投靠上帝，路德高唱：Crux sola est nostra theologia－The Cross alone is our theology唯獨十字架是我們的神學

看重啟示輕視思辨 God comes to us through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross 想要直接認識上帝 Humans work their way up to God through their good works 啟示在於十架受苦 Faith means joining Christ in his suffering 榮耀之處得見上帝 Faith is the means to obtain material success 放下自己全然信靠 Being a Christian is being faithful to Christ, regardless of the cost 通過功德朝見上帝 Being a Christian will make your life better in a material (worldly) sense 受苦之處才有啟示 God shows His glory through His cross 榮耀做為成敗典範 A focus on human strength, wisdom…

9 很多時候苦難給人的感覺是痛苦，無法改變，但主 耶穌可以改變我們，好像這個生來瞎眼的，主都可 以醫治他，在主是無所不能的。但重要的，就是我 們雖遇到苦難，主幫助了我們，這苦難要成為榮耀 神的見證。
Although we face suffering but Jesus will free us and the suffering will be a testimony to glorify God.

10 二、在自己的環境中榮耀神 to Glorify God in our environment vv4-7
4  趁著白日，我們必須做那差我來者的工；黑夜將到，就沒有人能 做工了。 5 我在世上的時候，是世上的光。 6  耶穌說了這話，就吐唾沫在地上，用唾沫和泥抹在瞎子的眼睛上， 7 對他說：你往西羅亞池子裡去洗（西羅亞繙出來就是奉差遣）。他 去一洗，回頭就看見了。 4 As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. 5 While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” 6 After saying this, he spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes. 7 “Go,” he told him, “wash in the Pool of Siloam” (this word means “Sent”). So the man went and washed, and came home seeing.

11 趁著白日，我們必須做那差我來者的工；黑夜將到，就沒有人能 做工了。V4 4 As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work.  主耶穌不要他的門徒，只是在討論人的問題，他有什麼罪，他家 裡有沒有問題？這些都不能給人帶來幫助，但我們應該去做的， 就是趁著我們有力量，我們要快快幫助人，把握每個機會，減少 人的痛苦。 Action speaks louder than words. We should follow Jesus to be a blessing to others. 印尼排華

12 榮耀神不是突然的，其實是在生活中累積出來的， 你的生活，你的言行，你的見證都可能成為榮耀神 的器皿。聖經教導我們愛人，不是突然去愛人，乃 是在我們的生活中，我們天天學習去愛人，有一天 他就會累積成見證，這也會變成榮耀神的機會。 To glorify God is daily witness and can be fulfilled everyday. God uses our lives and words as witnesses to glorify God.

13 三、在上帝的旨意中榮耀神 to glorify God for God ‘s will vv8-11
8  他的鄰舍和那素常見他是討飯的，就說：這不是那從前坐著討 飯的人麼？ 9  有人說：是他；又有人說；不是，卻是像他。他自己說：是我。 10 他們對他說：你的眼睛是怎麼開的呢？ 11  他回答說：有一個人，名叫耶穌，他和泥抹我的眼睛，對我說： 你往西羅亞池子去洗。我去一洗，就看見了。 8 His neighbors and those who had formerly seen him begging asked, “Isn’t this the same man who used to sit and beg?” 9 Some claimed that he was. Others said, “No, he only looks like him.” But he himself insisted, “I am the man.” 10 “How then were your eyes opened?” they asked. 11 He replied, “The man they call Jesus made some mud and put it on my eyes. He told me to go to Siloam and wash. So I went and washed, and then I could see.”

14 他回答說：有一個人，名叫耶穌，他和泥抹我的眼睛，對我 說：你往西羅亞池子去洗。我去一洗，就看見了。V11
11 He replied, “The man they call Jesus made some mud and put it on my eyes. He told me to go to Siloam and wash. So I went and washed, and then I could see.” 「他開了我的眼睛，你們竟不知道他從哪裡來，這真是奇 怪。」v31 31 We know that God does not listen to sinners. He listens to the godly person who does his will. 這個瞎眼的，其實心不瞎，但這些法利賽人眼不瞎，心卻瞎 了。這個瞎眼的，知道是誰醫治他。This person who’s blind from birth knew the person who healed him is God but the Pharisees did not know.

15 因果報應 Karma VS 上帝 God 今天我們常講報應，報應一定要有因果，一個因帶來一個果， 我們也常在這個因果報應的循環裡面，但這個說法少了一個 考慮，就是上帝。上帝是第一因，上帝也是有恩典、憐憫的 上帝，我們應該承擔的結果，他卻幫助我們承擔了，因此我 們現在不用承擔那個罪的結果，因為主的恩典憐憫。 Karma theory means cause and effect. We need to pay for what we have done. Good karma brings good effect, bad karma brings bad effect. God is the first cause. And Jesus and His cross bear my weakness. 他對我說：「我的恩典夠你用的，因為我的能力是在人的軟 弱上顯得完全。」林後12:9 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9

16 唯獨榮耀上帝Soli Deo Gloria 生活的目的，在增進人類全體之生活；生命的意義， 在創造宇宙繼起之生命。
加爾文提出「唯獨榮耀上帝」有更深入的意思，人 是被神創造的，這個創造雖然後來犯罪墮落，但是 主耶穌來就是要恢復原本的創造的目的，使人恢復 與天父的關係，也有機會被神使用，成為榮耀上帝 的器皿。因此榮耀上帝原本就是神的創造，也是上 帝願意我們去行的，這也成為人生命的目的。 The Purpose of Life is to Glorify God. 王陽明的學說有很強的社會使命，認為這世界有一個真理，但這真理也一定會落實在生活上

17 結論 Conclusion 我們應該好好的追隨上帝，追求上帝的旨意，這樣我們 不僅可以脫離這些問題，我們更有機會成為神的器皿， 可以有機會成為榮耀上帝的人。因為神的創造，本來就 不是讓我們成為罪的器皿，也不是讓我們承擔罪的咒詛， 他的創造與拯救是要我們成為榮耀上帝的人。這就是上 帝創造的旨意，所以主耶穌來就是要我們回到上帝的面 前，恢復與他的關係。如此一來我們就可以成為明白主 旨意的人，也成為他所賜福的人。 We are created and saved for God’s Glory. Soli Deo Gloria
