2 Luke 2:1-12 2 In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. 2 (This was the first census that took place while[a] Quirinius was governor of Syria.) 3 And everyone went to their own town to register. 4 So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. 6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born,

3 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son

She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them. 8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

5 Prophesies of Jesus’s birth 耶稣诞生的预言
Isaiah 7:14 – Virgin will conceive and give birth to a son 以賽亞書 7:14 – 必有童女懷孕生子 Isaiah 9:6 – For to us a child is born, to us a son is given 以賽亞書 9:6 – 因有一嬰孩為我們而生；有一子賜給我們。 Micah 5:2 – out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel 彌迦書 5:2 - 將來必有一位從你那裡出來，在以色列中為我作掌權的 Jeremiah 33:15 - In those days and at that time. I will make a righteous Branch sprout from David’s line; he will do what is just and right in the land. 耶利米書 33:15 - 當那日子，那時候，我必使大衛公義的苗裔長起來；他必在地上施行公平和公義。

6 1. God’s word will definitely be fulfilled (v1-7) 神的话肯定会实现
Galatians 4:4 - 5 But when the set time has fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law to redeem those under the law that we might receive adoption to sonship 加拉太書 4:4-5 4 及至時候滿足，神就差遣他的兒子，為女子所生，且生在律法以下，5 要把律法以下的人贖出來，叫我們得著兒子的名分。

8 God had fulfilled many promises before Jesus 神在耶稣到来之前实现了许多应许
Abraham – He was promised a son – after 25 years and many mistakes – Abraham had Isaac ( Gen 21) 亚伯拉罕 - 他被许诺一个儿子 - 经过25年和许多 错误 - 亚伯拉罕有了以撒（创21） Joshua 约书亚记 21 : 43-45

9 Every Promise of God will be fulfilled 神的每一个应许都会实现
For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God. 2 Cor 1: 20 神的應許，不論有多少，在基督都是是的。所以藉 著他也都是實在的，叫神因我們得榮耀。 歌林多後書 1:20

10 The journey to seeing God’s promises fulfilled can be long but the end is definite 看到神应许被实现的旅程可能很长，但终点是明确的 Mary delivered Jesus, Jesus lived up to His calling and became the saviour of the world. 玛丽亚诞下了耶稣，耶稣活出了祂的呼召，成为了 世界的救主。
