2 In Search Of the Amber Room

3 一、教材分析 “属于叙述类文体,此类文体要求学生在阅读后获取的信息主要集中在事实(facts)上,如故事发生的时间、地点、人物和发展过程(when-where-who/what-why/how)。” ---(摘自《普通高中课程标准实验教科书 教师教学用书》P4) 文中所涉及的人名和地名较多,且比较难读。

4 通过本课教学使学生了解世界文化遗产---the Amber Room,学会描述他们的起源、发展和保护等方面的情况,了解文化遗产对人类社会生活的重要价值,进一步提高学生对文化遗产的保护意识。

5 二、整体设计思路 叙述类文体(narration)的组成要素有:orientation 指向 series of events系列事件personal comment个人评价 教学设计围绕其相关的关键词(when-where-who/what-why/how)展开,在教学的各个环节设计能体现我们课题组评判性思维interpretation &evaluation的问题。

6 1. 课前:学生不预习 2. 文本结构特点:时间顺序 以the Amber Room为中心,发散出故事的基本要素:时间、人物、事件 3. 另一条线 treasure-gift-wonder-mystery 以此为载体,处理相关的词汇 4. 呈现观点,体会文字内涵

(treasure, mystery, there is no doubt that, etc. ) 2. analyze and arrange the structure of the passage, and summarize the main idea of each paragraph. 3. use critical reading skills :interpretation and evaluation 4. understand the importance of the Amber Room or the cultural relics and develop a strong awareness of cultural relics protection
