5 臺灣老人人口 ◎根據內政部公佈的資料顯示，台灣65歲以上總人口數，至2007年10月底已達2,312,359人，佔總人口數的10.14%；預估到2021年，老年人口的比例將大於14歲以下的幼年人口，到了2027年，老年人口將達490萬人左右，佔總人口數的20.69％，即每5個人當中就有一位高齡者。 2019/5/9

7 Realities of Aging Families:
The family is the primary source of support for older people Most older people have family members Most older people live in some type of family setting Multigenerational (4 and 5 generations) families are growing The number of blended families is increasing The range of alternative family structures is expanding Spouses are the most important family relationship Spouses are the primary family caregivers, followed by adult children Sibling relationships increase in importance with age. Never married and childless older adults are not necessarily lonely. Intergenerational relationships tend to be reciprocal. 2019/5/9

10 婚姻的挑戰 家事的分工 sharing household work
家與私的劃分"separateness" (personal privacy, pursuing individual hobbies, and spending time with friends) and "togetherness" (joint activities, maintaining intimacy, and socializing as a couple) 溝通 personal perspective (personal goals, interests, dreams) but also from a couple perspective (joint activities, common goals, issues of sexual and emotional intimacy). 創造優質時間. Sometimes older folks are caught in doing too many leisure activities and volunteer work that result in husband doing one thing and wife doing another; they seldom have time for each other 2019/5/9

12 Adult Children living with Parents
According to the Journal of Financial Service Professionals, at the beginning of the 20th century between 4% and 7% of people in their sixties had at least one parent still living. Today, that figure is nearly 50%. But that’s only half the story. As recently as 1990, only 25% of young adults between the ages of 18 and 24 lived with their parents. By 2000, the number had grown to 52%—and it’s still rising. 2019/5/9

13 年老父母與子女 祖父母的角色 父母與成年子女關係隨年歲而有改善 母女關係最強
由於生命的延長，有更多人會成為祖父母。他們提供子女和孫兒精神上和經濟上的支援，幫忙照顧等。但也有長者埋怨被子女視為無薪的孫兒照護者。 2019/5/9

14 老人跟子孫的互動 主要特點： 不住一處，地理距離的限制使互動的直接關係頻率減少，面對面式的互動難以發生；
家庭生育率的減少，使得父母與子女的互動較能集中，因此感情的維持延續較密且長遠； 老年父母與成年子女間也有代溝，但在必要時，他們彼此能提供意見及協助； 老年祖父母為孫輩提供了必要的情感角色 (expressive role)，年輕父母常忙於事業，常無法適時給子女提供感情上的扶持，老年祖父母正可補充這缺陷。 2019/5/9

15 家庭是否和諧 休克（Huyck）分析一些研究結果而綜合出三個要點：
 1.老年家庭有許多不同的特質，並非同質性。因此不可以偏概全。有些家庭很重視夫妻間關係的和諧，有些家庭則注重老年父母與成年子女間關係，有些家庭則把興趣轉到外界事務或興趣上。這些不同影響到老年家庭婚姻的滿意度。  2.大多數的婚姻原本就相當穩定。因此，進入老年期後仍然穩定。  3.早期的人格特質影響到老年時期的婚姻滿意程度和家庭和諧 2019/5/9
