提供路由資訊與計費 提供預外部PDN網路的介接 藉由IP-Base之GPRS backbone與SGSN連接 SGSN (Serving GPRS Support Node) 類似MSC功能: 提供認證、加密、計費… 提供access control與security管理 提供location資訊 與BSS連接 GGSN: (閘接支援節點)協定轉換,地址解析及路由尋找功能. SGSN: (伺服支援節點) 傳送手機和GGSN之間的數據資料. 2019/5/15 3G Presentation

GPRS (2/2) GSM網路修改與升級 BSS修改與升級 HLR升級 SMS-GMSC、SMS-IWMSC升級 MSC/VLR升級
PCU (Packet Control Unit) CCU (Channel Control Unit) HLR升級 SMS-GMSC、SMS-IWMSC升級 MSC/VLR升級 PCU:新增硬體設備,負責GPRS封包數據單元處理之相關事宜.在BSC中,線路交換與分封交換的資訊是分開流通的.線路交換的資訊送到MSC,而分封交換的資訊被送到SGSN後再接入GPRS骨幹. CCU:執行封包資料編碼功能及無線電訊號量測. HLR:為了提供GPRS服務,現有GSM中的HLR還必須增加有關GPRS用戶資料,數據及路由所須的資訊. SMS-GMSC,SMS-IWMSC:增加有關透過GPRS網路傳送短訊服務(SMS)的能力. MSC/VLR:藉由GSM及GPRS的協調共構,更有效率執行手機Paging及Location update的工作. 手機連網程序: 1.MS對SGSN發出連網請求 2.MS與HLR進行認證 3.HLR中之用戶資料複製後載入MSC/VLR及SGSN內 4.SGSN通知MS連網成功 2019/5/15 3G Presentation

Conclusion WCA offers a realized and test paradigm of the feasibility of uninterrupted connectivity. Moreover, it combines off-the-shelf hardware components that can be easily integrated.
