2 Confucius-孔子 Confucius is China’s most famous teacher, philosopher, and political theorist, whose ideas have influenced the civilization of East Asia.

3 孔子简介 Confucius was born in 22nd year of the reign Duke Hsiang of Lu (551 BC). His father died when he was oniy three years old. Instructed first by his mother, Confucius then distinguished himself as an indefatigable learner in his teens.

4 孔子思想 作为仁爱思想的传授者，孔子通过对人类的关注表达自己的雄心：“老者安之，朋友信之，少者怀之”。

The Master said, “To study, and then in a timely fashion to practice what you have learned-is this not satisfying? To have companions arrive from afar-is this not a joy?” 子曰：学而时习之，不亦悦乎？有朋自远方来，不亦乐乎？ The Master said,“A true teacher is one who, keeping the past alive, is also able to understand the present. 子曰：“ 温故而知新，可以为师矣。”

8 历史上最有影响的人－－孔子 孔子是中国最伟大的哲学家，他概括了中国人的基本思想，成为独创一套信仰体系的鼻祖。他的哲学根基于人生道德和用道德典范来教育人、管理人的政治观念，贯穿于中国人的生活和文化之中长达两千年之久，对世界上许多人都产生过很大的影响。 因此，孔子应该做中国的代言人。
