3 Mobile SCTP Stream Control Transmission Protocol IETF RFC 2960
A new IP transport protocol, existing at an equivalent level with UDP and TCP. IETF的SIGTRAN(Signaling Transport)工作團隊所制定。 銜接網際網路電信系統與傳統的SS7網路。

4 Mobile SCTP 修正在 IP上使用 TCP傳送電信訊號時所遇到的許多缺點而制定的通訊協定，目的就是為了能夠更有效率的在 IP上傳送電信系統所需要的控制訊號。 提供了可靠的傳輸服務，運作於完整的IP網路環境中，並可適用於IPv4與IPv6。 提供了流量控制、重送機制，以提供上層的M3UA一個穩定可靠的傳輸介面。

5 SIP Mobility Goal: Use SIP for supporting terminal, personal and service mobility in a mobile wireless Internet, i.e., devise a comprehensive SIP-centric mobility management scheme, propose necessary (if any) extensions or modifications to the SIP protocol.
