2018 National Education Conference 深化教育体制改革，健全立德树人落实机制，建立科学的教育评价导向。 We are deepening the reform of our education system, improving mechanisms to foster virtue through education, and establishing a reasonable mindset for education evaluation. 要提升教育服务经济社会发展能力，调整优化高校区域布局、学科结构、专业设置，建立健全学科专业动态调整机制，加快一流大学和一流学科建设，推进产学研协同创新，积极实施创新驱动发展战略，着重培养创新型、复合型、应用型人才。要扩大教育开放，同世界一流资源开展高水平合作办学。 We aim to improve the function of education in serving economic and social development, and adjust and optimize regional layouts, curriculum structures and program arrangements of colleges and universities; establish and improve the dynamic adjustment mechanism of disciplines and programs, accelerate the development of first-class universities and first-class disciplines, and promote collaborative innovation among industries, universities and research institutes. We must also actively implement an innovation-driven development strategy, and focus on cultivating innovative, interdisciplinary and practical talent. Education should be more open to world-class resources in operating cooperative education programs.

1 2 3 2016年6月获教育部批复立项建设，2017年获国家发改委和教育部5000万经费支持，已全面启动建设工作。在此基础上，已组织了2次海洋科考活动。 In June 2016, SYSU’s Marine Research Vessel project was approved by the Ministry of Education and in 2017, it won 50 million yuan in support from the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Education. To date, two marine scientific research projects have been completed. 海洋科考船 Marine Research Vessel 获得国家主要领导人批示，获得科技部、教育部、基金委、国防科工局、广东省的大力支持。空间引力波探测地面模拟装置重大科技基础设施纳入国家发改委“十三五”规划，并纳入深圳市十大科技基础设施规划内容。 This Tianqin Plan project has won the approval of national leaders and support from the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education, China Scholarship Council, the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and Guangdong Provincial Government. The key space-based gravitational wave detection basic research facilities were included in the Thirteenth Five-Year Plan of the National Development and Reform Commission as well as in Shenzhen’s ten basic facilities development plan. 天琴计划 Tianqin Plan 2017年，国家超级计算广州中心服务用户数已经超过2600家，全系统全年平均利用率达到创纪录的70%，是全球用户数量最多，应用范围最广的超算中心之一。 In 2017, the National Supercomputing Guangzhou Center user base exceeded 2600 users and the overall system’s annual utilization rate has reached a new historic high of up to 70%.
