15:2 我們各人務要叫鄰舍喜悅，使他得益處，建立德行。 2 Each of us is to please his neighbor for his good, to his edification. 鄰舍πλησίος (plesios) near, neighboring 益處ἀγαθός (agathos) good, benefit 建立德行οἰκοδομή (oikodome) building, edification 貶抑性的「討人喜悅」通常是「討神喜悅」的反義，意思是藉諂媚來博取別人的好感，透過沒有原則的妥協來賺取對方的贊同。這種做法是永不符合表裡一致和真誠的原則的。保羅可能就是為了避免這種誤解，所以才加上了使他得益處，建立德行，來規範討鄰舍喜悅的意思。。
