What is GREENR? 『綠能』是當前許多國家與企業探討的議題與發展的重點。GREENR是GALE針對目前的『綠能』趨勢，幫助使用者更進一步了解能源科技與環境保護與其永續性等議題所新推出的資料庫。 GREENR的特色： - 互動式的世界地圖(World Map)：讓使用者可以由國家或熱門議題入口網連結至相關資源。 - 提供多媒體的參考資源、客製化的期刊與新聞，及相關的研究案例。 - 透過網路社群的服務及其功能，使用者可以相互分享經驗與資訊。 - Web 2.0幫助使用者不論在何時何處，都可以輕鬆方便檢索GREENR中的資源。 GREENR中還提供客製化的首頁服務，館員與使用者再選擇新聞與學術期刊資料時，可按照自己的需求，挑選相關度較高的資料做為首頁。

(Continued) 除了基礎檢索與進階檢索外，使用者還可以瀏覽熱門議題、組織、與國家等三個入口網站，得到所需的相關資訊。 - 超過160個國家入口網 (Country Portals)。 - 熱門議題網 (Topic/Issue Portals)涵蓋150多個主題群，從動物福利至風力發電等主題都收錄其中。 - 國際組織入口網(Organization Portals)提供與能源科技及環境保護等有關的國際組織連結和網站資訊。 收錄主題： - 能源 - 環境與生態學 - 經濟與貿易 - 健康照護 - 污染 - 社會議題 - 農業與食物 - 資源管理 - 法律與政治

檢索主畫面 在基礎檢索中，可查詢事件、議題、國家、人物等 提供互動式的世界地圖，幫助使用者快速聚焦於國家、地區、與熱門議題上 刊登每週新的熱門議題之影像檔 查詢相關的研究案例 熱門議題瀏覽分類： 農業與食物 經濟與貿易 能源 環境與生態學 大自然與人類 法律與政治 汙染 資源管理 科學與科技 社會議題 使用者選擇與需求相關資源都可以集中置於此處，成為一個客製化的全球新聞區

檢索方式-瀏覽 透過瀏覽功能了解最近被討論的熱門議題或重要事件，並進入Issue Portal 可連結至所有議題清單，使用者點選有興趣的議題後，即進入該熱門議題的入口網。

世界地圖 (World Map) 與Google合作的World Map，可以利用熱門議題、國家與區域名稱進行瀏覽，或利用關鍵字查詢，連結至國家或熱門議題入口網。 World Map除了讓使用者能自行縮小/放大地圖，並可任意瀏覽東南西北外，也提供該國或區域的衛星空拍圖與地勢/地形圖做研究參考。 使用者透過World Map，可以了解不同地區受到氣候變化的影響，也可以了解人口與資源的應用如何改變全球的環境。

熱門議題入口網 (Issue Portal) Videos/Images: 提供最新的影片內容與已被授權使用的照片影像 Overview: 以500-700字的文章提供事件的背景 Academic Journals:全文期刊 Statistics:統計數據資料 參考文獻與第一手資料 上百份的國際性報紙與雜誌 Podcasts/網站與部落格(Blogs) Conference Presentations & Reports:相關的會議演講與報告 Case Studies:研究案例 Book Reviews:書評 Bookmark- 將此網頁的網址直接複製、email或儲存到我的最愛；Share- 將此網頁存放於MYSPACE, FACEBOOK, GOOGLE等社交網站上與他人分享

關鍵字檢索結果說明- 以“landslide”為例 使用關鍵字查詢時，系統會將與關鍵字相關的入口網列出 儲存此次檢索結果，在下次登入時會保留此筆結果 在Basic Search中輸入“landslide”，即得到左方檢索結果。檢索結果的資料類型包含：期刊文章、新聞、會議報告、影像檔、Podcasts,與相關網站連結等。 檢索時可在此選擇限定檢索結果。Publication Title限制出版品名稱；Company Name相關公司名稱限定；Newspaper Section選擇報紙內容專區，如：財經新聞、社論等。 檢索結果可依出版日期與相關度做排序
