9/9/2017 Connecting You to the IEEE Universe of Information The IEEE Technology Navigator is a web-based discovery tool that helps IEEE members, prospective members, engineering practitioners and corporate partners to connect to IEEE resources and intellectual property. Unlike standard search engines, Technology Navigator uses visual navigation to present key concepts that match a user's needs and interests. Industry, education and government users can now connect to all IEEE products, services, and intellectual property from a single point of entry. Users can "drill down" from general industry and technology terms to specific IEEE organization - and council-developed resources - publications, conferences and standards. Presenting IEEE information through the Technology Navigator: Connects IEEE resources and IP to real-world applications Breaks down discipline-specific silos Provides access to information and resources regarding emerging technologies Identifies areas of intersection that will encourage technical organizations and councils to cooperate in overlapping areas Technology Navigator is currently in private Beta to select IEEE communities, and will be publicly available in Fall 2010.
