Metabolomics is one out of 14 fields considered in Nature's 2020 vision. Other fields in Nature's 2020 vision in which metabolomics plays/can play a major role are 'Personalized Medicine', 'Microbiome', 'Drug Discovery', and 'Mental Health'.
