《主要英语国家国情》课程教学大纲 一、课程目的 《主要英语国家国情》是英语专业的必修课之一，目的在于使学生了解英美等英语国家的历史、地理、社会、经济、政治和教育等方面的情况及其文化传统，提高学生文化差异的敏感性，宽容性和处理文化差异的灵活性，培养学生跨文化的交际能力。

二、教学内容、教学计划与进度 本课程内容多，覆盖面广，主要讲授英国和美国部分，其余章节以课外自修的形式处理；本学期计划上课16次，每次讲解一个章节

三、教学方式 授课形式：教师利用多媒体课件授课为主、辅以学生作课堂报告及小组讨论等形式。 教学评价：课堂参与、平时作业及期末考试。
