一、INI-GraphicsNet Innovation Week活动 2006.5.29-5.31日由潘志庚教授的国际合作项目资助我参加了德国Darmstadt INI-GraphicsNet举办的Innovation Week活动 创新周活动内容十分丰富，包括学术报告会，各类研讨会以及成果展示会等，参加人数超过千人。主要活动有两项： INI-GraphicsNet新大楼落成典礼 Encarnação教授65岁华诞庆祝活动，也是他转换角色的仪式，参加人数逾430人 CCVRV2006

三、Encarnação教授与 INI-GraphicsNet 1959 Encarnação获葡萄牙政府奖学金到德国留学，后获柏林工业大学PhD学位，导师Wolfgang K. Giloi 1972 Assist Professor for Computer Science at University of the Saarland 1975 进入TU Darmstadt，组建Computer Graphics Group，后改名为Computer Interactive Systems Group (GRIS)，是从事教学、基础研究和PhD培养的单位 CCVRV2006

三、Encarnação教授与 INI-GraphicsNet 1984年成立Computer Graphics Center (ZGDV)，宗旨是促进计算机图形学技术转让、培训和应用研究，以及GRIS与工业界的联系。ZGDV完全是一个自负盈亏的单位，但不是企业 1987年成立Fraunhofer Working Group for Computer Graphics －这是一个为期5年的项目，是否转为正式研究所，将看运行结果 1992年正式成立Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics (IGD)，今天拥有雇员超过100人，研究经费达1300万欧元 CCVRV2006

三、Encarnação教授与 INI-GraphicsNet 1990年在Rostock将一个原东德研究所改造为ZGDV的分支机构 1992年成立Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics in Rostock 1992年组织成立Fraunhofer IGD in Providence, Rhode Island, USA CCVRV2006

三、Encarnação教授与 INI-GraphicsNet 1993年在葡萄牙组织成立类似于Fraunhofer IGD, ZDDV和GRIS的the Center for Computer Graphics in Coimbra, Portugal 1998年在新加坡南洋理工大学组织成立CAMTech (Center for Advanced Media Technology) 2000年在西班牙、2001年在韩国、2002年在意大利和美国相继成立了分支机构，最终形成网络结构 1999年 INI-GraphicsNet Stiftung作为一个非盈利基金会正式成立 CCVRV2006

三、Encarnação教授与 INI-GraphicsNet 国际著名计算机图形学学者 领导GKS国际标准工作 获ACM SIGGRAPH Coons奖 足够长的PhD学生名单和论文清单 …… CCVRV2006

五、几点思考 成功原因何在？ 与Encarnação教授倡导图形学的应用研究，以及大力推动R&D为工业界服务的正确指导思想分不开 与Fraunhofer 研究院的Performance-based financing政策分不开 CCVRV2006
