让 ràng (to allow or cause Sb to do Sth) verb 让 + Someone + V Māmā ràng wǒ gěi tā dǎ diànhuà 妈妈让我给她打电话。Mom let me to give her a call. Bàba ràng wǒ gěi tā mǎi kāfēi 爸爸让我给他买咖啡。Dad let me to buy him coffee. Lǎoshī ràng nǐ bāng wǒ liànxí shuō zhōngwén 老师让你帮我练习说中文。 Teacher let me help you practice speaking Chinese.

要…了 yào…le (going to … soon ) It indicates anticipation action or situation is taking place. Hánjià yào dàole, nǐ xiǎng zuò shénme 寒假要到了, 你想做什么? Winter vacation is coming. What do you want to do? Yào shàngkè le, wǒmen jìn jiàoshì ba 要上课了,我们进教室吧。 The class is going to begin soon, let’s go into the classroom!

要…了 yào…le (going to … soon ) It indicates anticipation action or situation is taking place. Also could be in the forms of “快要...了”, “就要...了”. Xīnnián kuàiyào dào le 新年快要到了! Zhù nǐ xīn nián kuài lè 祝你新年快乐! Yīnyuè huì kuàiyào kāishǐle 音乐会就要开始了。The concert is starting soon.
