要…了 yào…le (going to … soon ) It indicates anticipation action or situation is taking place. Hánjià yào dàole, nǐ xiǎng zuò shénme 寒假要到了, 你想做什么？ Winter vacation is coming. What do you want to do? 要…了 yào…le (going to … soon ) It indicates anticipation action or situation is taking place. Also could be in the forms of “快要...了”, “就要...了”. Xīnnián kuàiyào dào le 新年快要到了! Zhù nǐ xīn nián kuài lè 祝你新年快乐! Yīnyuè huì kuàiyào kāishǐle 音乐会就要开始了。The concert is starting soon.
