Task 3 1).family 作为一个整体时, 意思是“家庭”, 后面谓语动词用单数形式。 如果把family看作家庭成员时, 应理解为 复数, 后面的谓语动词用复数形式。例如: My family are very well. 我的家人都很健康。 Tom has a big family. 汤姆先生有个大家庭。

2.) 名词的数 名词可分为可数名词和不可数名词。可数名词又分为单数和复数。表示一个人或事物的名词用单数;表示两个以上人或事物的名词用复数。英语名词复数形式通常是在单数名词后面加–s或-es构成。如:

⑴一般名词后面加-s pencil—pencils egg—eggs ⑵以-s, -x, -ch, -sh结尾的名词后面加–es box—boxes   class—classes ⑶以辅音字母+y结尾的名词,把y变i,再加–es。 story—stories   city—cities ⑷以“o”结尾的,有生命的加 “es”, 无生命的加 “s”. Photo-photos, piano-pianos, zoo-zoos tomato-tomatoes, potato-potatoes (5)以f或fe结尾的单词。把f变v再加es knife—knives , leaf—leaves 不规则变化: child-children woman-women man-men foot-feet tooth-teeth sheep-sheep
