5 I. 地名的翻译 2 、有些地名曾有旧译名 : （ 2 ）有些地名遵循 “ 约定俗成 ” 原则，沿用传统 译名，避免采用汉语拼音而引起混乱，例如： 西藏 Tibet 香港 Hong Kong 九龙 Kowloon 澳门 Macao （ 3 ）有些与地名有关的名称的英译，由于历史 原因，现存两种用法，例如： 北京大学 Beijing University/ Peking University
