4 Daniel 但以理書 1:1-8 In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came to Jerusalem and besieged it. 2 And the Lord gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, with some of the vessels of the house of God. And he brought them to the land of Shinar, to the house of his god, and placed the vessels in the treasury of his god. 3 Then the king commanded Ashpenaz, his chief eunuch, to bring some of the people of Israel, both of the royal family and of the nobility, 猶大王約雅敬在位第三 年，巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒 來到耶路撒冷，將城圍困。 主將猶大王約雅敬，並 神殿中器皿的幾份交付他 手，他就把這器皿帶到示 拿地，收入他神的廟裡， 放在他神的庫中。3 王吩 咐太監長亞施毗拿從以色 列人的宗室和貴胄中帶進 幾個人來，

5 4 youths without blemish, of good appearance and skillful in all wisdom, endowed with knowledge, understanding learning, and competent to stand in the king's palace, and to teach them the literature and language of the Chaldeans. 5 The king assigned them a daily portion of the food that the king ate, and of the wine that he drank. They were to be educated for three years, and at the end of that time they were to stand before the king. 4 就是年少沒有殘疾， 相貌俊美，通達各樣學 問，知識、聰明俱備， 足能侍立在王宮裡的， 要教他們迦勒底的文字 言語。 5 王派定將自己 所用的膳和所飲的酒每 日賜他們一份，養他們 三年，滿了三年好叫他 們在王面前侍立。

6 6 Among these were Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah of the tribe of Judah. 7 And the chief of the eunuchs gave them names: Daniel he called Belteshazzar, Hananiah he called Shadrach, Mishael he called Meshach, and Azariah he called Abednego. 8 But Daniel resolved that he would not defile himself with the king's food, or with the wine that he drank. Therefore he asked the chief of the eunuchs to allow him not to defile himself. 6他們中間有猶大族的人 以理、哈拿尼雅、米沙利、 亞撒利雅。 7 太監長給他 們起名，稱但以理為伯提 沙撒，稱哈拿尼雅為沙得 拉，稱米沙利為米煞，稱 亞撒利雅為亞伯尼歌。 但以理卻立志不以王的 膳和王所飲的酒玷汙自己， 所以求太監長容他不玷汙 自己。

被給予一個新的使命 To serve a new master 要侍奉一位新的主 Only after you’ve been fully complete assimilated, fully embraced your new ID, would you then serve me. You serve the king of Babylon AS an Babylonian.

11 Dan. 1:8 But Daniel resolved that he would not defile himself with the king's food, or with the wine that he drank. Therefore he asked the chief of the eunuchs to allow him not to defile himself. 但以理卻立志不以王的 膳和王所飲的酒玷汙自己，所以求太監長容他不玷汙自己。

12 Psalm 詩篇 137: 1,3-5 By the waters of Babylon, there we sat down and wept, when we remembered Zion. For there our captors required of us songs, and our tormentors, mirth, saying, “Sing us one of the songs of Zion!” How shall we sing the Lord's song in a foreign land? If I forget you, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget its skill! 我們曾在巴比倫的河邊坐下，一追想錫安就哭了…因為在那裡，擄掠我們的要我們唱歌，搶奪我們的要我們作樂，說：「給我們唱一首錫安歌吧！」我們怎能在外邦唱耶和華的歌呢？耶路撒冷啊，我若忘記你，情願我的右手忘記技巧！

John 17:15-16 15 I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 我不求你叫他們離開世界，只求你保守他們脫離那惡者。 16他們不屬世界，正如我不屬世界一樣。 Jesus teaches us how t pray in the Lord’s prayer: Keep us form temptation, Deliver us from the evil one.
