September 2004: Agreement signed 2004年9月 签订办学协议 September 2005: MoE granted permission for the preparation of XJTLU 2005年9月 教育部批准筹建西交利物浦大学 May 2006: Issue of University Licence by MoE, XJTLU can recruit students at first tier 2006年5月 教育部颁发办学许可,批准参加全国高等 学校一批次招生 September 2006: Intake of first cohort(160+Students) 2006年9月 招收第一届本科学生 (160多名学生) September 2011: Intake of Sixth cohort(2200+Students) 2011年9月 招收第六届本科学生 (2200多名学生)

More than 15% of 2010 entered Top10 universities of the world (Times Ranking), such as Cambridge(UK), Imperial College London and so on. More than 50% of 2011 entered Top 100 universities of the world (Times Ranking), such as Cambridge(UK), Oxford(UK), Carnegie Mellon, Michigan, Duke, California, Columbia, Pennsylvania(USA) , HEC Paris(France) , Toronto(Canada), NUS(Singapore), and so on. 2011 the employed graduates mostly entered the world 500 companies, such as E&Y, PWC, Standard Chartered etc. Imperial College (EEE) announced: For Chinese applicants studying in China, only consider applications from students studying: C9 or 985, or XJTLU .
