The primary drivers of any MR&O organization include these four areas: Aircraft on Ground – In Aerospace, Defense and Transportation industries, asset availability is critical because not having the aircraft ready for flight when needed means lost revenue / opportunities. Unscheduled repairs and long maintenance cycles reduce the availability of the aircraft, increasing chances that it won’t be available when needed. Cost Containment – Many maintenance organizations operate as cost centers where the company accumulates costs as part of normal operating procedures. In today’s economy, however, cost is becoming a bigger focus to executives and reducing the costs are sometimes critical to survival. Unnecessary spending on inventory and low maintenance productivity are two key factors in driving costs in an MRO organization. Regulatory Compliance – Complying to FAA / JAA regulations and providing complete audit trail history (configuration status and history, maintenance records, usage records, etc.) for all aircraft is mission critical for any aircraft. Multi-Site Planning and Scheduling – Many aircraft today operate on a global scale, which adds complexity to planning and scheduling maintenance activities. Companies have numerous location options for which to assign aircraft, resources and inventory for maintenance activities. 部件 部件 首选 备选 首选 备选 组装模板 规则与限制 检修需求 模板 – 实体配置 Oracle Complex MRO allows you to maintain configuration control at two different levels; the master configuration which controls all units of a specific product type and the unit configuration which tracks each individual unit independently while still referring to the master configuration for allowable changes. Let’s look at the Master Configuration: 1. This is the “Allowable Configuration” or template of assembly configurations that are allowed for that system. This configuration: Maintains product composition (or anatomy) Defines parts in each position (or hole) and alternate parts for each one (if available) 2. The Master Configuration manages constraints and business rules such as: Establish product dependencies and siblings (for a component, what other components can be used together and which ones MUST be used together) 3. With a link to maintenance requirements, you can ensure your products are up-to-date on required and suggested maintenance: OEM standards – what the OEM recommends for maintenance (based on any parameter such as usage/run time or months in service, etc.) Planned and unplanned maintenance -- can be integrated to track changes from any type of maintenance performed on a component or system New or updated regulations such as mandates or Airworthiness Directives Now let’s look at the Unit Configuration: The unit configuration is the As Installed / As Maintained template of structure assembly information, specific to each unit. It can be maintained at any designated level (aircraft, engine, components, etc.) and will track serial numbers for each level. Through the unit configuration you can: 1. Track component installation/removal Provides Material Management information Associates child units to parent units Monitors life of any component – where it is today and where it has been 2. Track “Unit Specific” information Supports Engineering / Maintenance Planning information Utilization of each component Maintenance requirements (fleet program / log book) and maintenance history 3. Update applicable configurations with a single entry With an established tree structure, searches for other configurations with the same part/component and automatically updates as appropriate. Additionally, the unit configuration refers to the allowable configuration for change approvals (as the arrow in the picture shows). This allows you to tailor the solution to your specific business needs. Examples include: Fleet - series - model Family - model - version Different environments change the maintenance needs of an asset. Just detach a unit from one branch of the classification tree and attach it to another and that unit is automatically re-assigned to the maintenance requirements of the new branch. Example: As the picture shows, two planes maintained in different environments (desert vs aircraft carrier) will require different needs when parts are sent back for repair / warranty work. Keeping track of these requirements, and reassigning is easy to do with Oracle’s Complex MRO solution. When you reassign a plane, the basic maintenance requirements will stay with the tail number, but the plane will automatically be reassigned maintenance requirements to fit the new location. No one else offers this type of solution. Other products may say they do, but they require manual transfer of maintenance requirements. Complex MRO provides life-cycle history of every tracked component from when it is entered into the system until it is retired from the business. The Unit Maintenance Plan generates due dates for each of the maintenance requirements for a unit based on the thresholds and usage forecasts.
