Watch the video, The North Wind and the Sun (北风和太阳) in both English and Chinese and fill out the worksheet. Learn the English meanings of each individual Chinese character/word of the lyrics of Happy Paradise.

I can write 春、夏、秋、冬、季节 I can listen, speak and read 天气、冷、热、暖和、舒服. I can ask 今天天气怎么样？ I can answer 今天天气很冷/热／暖和／舒服. I know how to use 比 (preposition) to make comparison Ex: 今天天气比昨天好。

I know how to use 更gèng (even more) (adverb) to turn an adjective/adverb to comparative. Ex: 今天天气比昨天更好 (Today’s weather is better than it was yesterday I can listen, speak and read “Sunny day, Rainy day, Raining, Snowing, Skate, Watch DVD, Park” in Chinese. 晴天、雨天、下雨、下雪、滑冰、看碟、公园. I know the difference between using 是 and 会 to describe the weather: Ex 明天是雨天。 明天会下雨。

I can listen, speak and read and write “cold, hot, warm, comfortable, sunny day, rainy day, rain(ing), snow(ing), skate, swim” in Chinese 冷、热、暖和、舒服、 晴天、雨天、下雨、下雪、滑冰、游泳 I can do weather forecast in Chinese.

I know how to do Chinese Learning Log properly. Review the Adjectives in the book of Integrated Chinese Level 1 Part 1 Review 25 Nouns in the book of Integrated Chinese Level 1 Part 1 Book I know the life of Confucius. Note: Homework Today Review the Nouns in Book 1 Watch a video on Confucius.

Review the vocabulary and grammar I learned in Lesson 11 Dialogue 1 yìdiǎnr de duō duō le 2. I can speak 一点兒/得多/多了 (a little bit/more/much more) after an adjective to further modify a comparative expression using 比.

I can speak, read and use the Chinese verb约 yuē (to make an appointment). I can speak, read and use the Chinese conjunction 不但…而且 bú dàn…ér jiě (not only…but also). I can use了 le (sentence-final particle) to indicates a change of status or the realization of a new situation. I can give a weather report.

I can say “take a car” and “take a plane” in Chinese: 坐车 zuò chē, 坐飞机 zuò fēijī I can read and understand Lesson 11, Dialogue 1 I know how to build Chinese words: huá shuǐ Ex: 滑冰 喝水 滑 水  滑水 (Guess what does it mean?) I can use 不但…而且 to express my opinion.
