1.Status and Function This unit is an important part in this book. It includes three individual topics. Topic one is about the class fashion show. The climax of this class is about shopping. Students can have a better understanding of the structures of such...that… and …so that….by situation dialogue , it refers to the usage of some pronunciation as well. Such a topic is related to daily life, so it is easy to raise students’ learning interests and it will be also helpful to improve their spoken English.

2. Analysis of the students
Students in their age are relatively active. So maybe they will feel bored in learning the usage of such...that… and …so that….. Therefore, it’s more important to take effective ways to enable them to speak skillfully. And they’re interested in clothes and shopping.

Step 2 Presentation (13mins) 1. Show Ss a picture of the clothing store, lead to 1a T:We know that Jane and Maria are going to buy some new clothes for their fashion show. Now, they meet Kangkang and Michael in the clothing store… 2. Let Ss guess what the children would like to buy Then listen to 1a and check the clothes they hear. 3. Ask Ss to write down the names of the clothes under the pictures in 1b. 4. Watch the flash of 1a and choose the correct pictures for the children. 5. Check the answers. Finish 1b.

Step 3 Consolidation (10mins) 1. Listen to 1a and then read it together. 2. Work in groups. Practice the conversation in groups of four. Then act it out. 3. Find out the key sentences in 1a and read them aloud together. 4. Look at the pictures in 2 and make sentences with such...that and so that by the giving example. Give them 2minutes to write down their sentences, and then ask some of them to read out their sentences. Finish 2.

教学反思 本课以《初中英语课程标准》为依据精心设计的一堂课。主要让学生掌握so …that, such …that… 和so that…句型的用法,培养学生积极向上的情感因素和自信心,有效地促进自主合作学习,提高英语学习效率。从整节课来看,我觉得教学任务设计合理,符合学生实际水平。在教学过程中,为学生创设各种情景和新的语言教学环境,通过抢答游戏的方式,活跃气氛,巩固所学的短语,用chant的形式引入语音学习,进一步提高了学生的学习兴趣。总体而言,大部分学生对本节课的重点内容掌握得比较好,个别同学对so …that, such …that… 和so that…句型的用法还有些模糊,需要更多的练习或课后指导。本节课的教学内容相对比较多,因此课堂上学生的口语操练时间不是很充足,语言部分处理稍有欠缺。在今后的教学中应根据学生的课堂反应,适当调整教学程序,尽量创设出更贴近学生的课堂教学,以达到高效英语课堂教学的目的。
