2 起初神创造天地。 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. – Genesis 1:1

4 他们却如亚当背约，在境内向我行事诡诈。 Like Adam, they have broken the covenant-- they were unfaithful to me there. – Hosea 6:7

5 若因一人的过犯，死就因这一人作了王，何况那些受洪恩又蒙所赐之义的，岂不更要因耶稣基督一人在生命中作王吗？
For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ. -Romans 5:17

If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For everything in the world--the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does--comes not from the Father but from the world. 17 The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever. – 1 John 2:15-17

In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came to Jerusalem and besieged it. 2 And the Lord delivered Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, along with some of the articles from the temple of God. These he carried off to the temple of his god in Babylonia and put in the treasure house of his god. – Daniel 1:1-2

These he carried off to the temple of his god in Babylonia and put in the treasure house of his god. – Daniel 1:1-2 众祭司长和百姓也大大犯罪，效法外邦人一切可憎的事，污秽耶和华在耶路撒冷分别为圣的殿。 15 耶和华他们列祖的神因为爱惜自己的民和他的居所，从早起来差遣使者去警戒他们。 16 他们却嘻笑神的使者，藐视他的言语，讥诮他的先知，以致耶和华的忿怒向他的百姓发作，无法可救。 17 所以，耶和华使迦勒底人的王来攻击他们，在他们圣殿里用刀杀了他们的壮丁，不怜恤他们的少男处女，老人白叟。耶和华将他们都交在迦勒底王手里。Furthermore, all the leaders of the priests and the people became more and more unfaithful, following all the detestable practices of the nations and defiling the temple of the LORD, which he had consecrated in Jerusalem. 15 The LORD, the God of their fathers, sent word to them through his messengers again and again, because he had pity on his people and on his dwelling place. 16 But they mocked God's messengers, despised his words and scoffed at his prophets until the wrath of the LORD was aroused against his people and there was no remedy. 17 He brought up against them the king of the Babylonians, who killed their young men with the sword in the sanctuary, and spared neither young man nor young woman, old man or aged. God handed all of them over to Nebuchadnezzar. – 2 Chronicles 36:14-17

14 處於這個罪惡敗壞的世界, 我們皆難免不遭受災害 - We suffer from calamity because we are part of a sinful, corrupted world. . .  . . . 但上帝仍以祂至高的主杈繼續看顧我們的處境 - but God remains sovereign and continues to intercede on our behalf

15 “Thank God for “God! 虽然无花果树不发旺，葡萄树不结果，橄榄树也不效力，田地不出粮食，圈中绝了羊，棚内也没有牛。 18 然而我要因耶和华欢欣，因救我的神喜乐。 19 主耶和华是我的力量。他使我的脚快如母鹿的蹄。又使我稳行在高处。这歌交与伶长，用丝弦的乐器。 Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, 18 yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior. 19 The Sovereign LORD is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to go on the heights. For the director of music. On my stringed instruments. – Habakkuk 3:17-19

18 處於這個罪惡敗壞的世界, 我們皆難免不遭受災害 - We suffer from calamity because we are part of a sinful, corrupted world. . .  . . . 但上帝仍以祂至高的主杈繼續看顧我們的處境 - but God remains sovereign and continues to intercede on our behalf 

19 谁曾用手心量诸水，用手虎口量苍天，用升斗盛大地的尘土，用秤称山岭，用天平平岗陵呢？ 13 谁曾测度耶和华的心（或作谁曾指示耶和华的灵），或作他的谋士指教他呢？ 14 他与谁商议，谁教导他，谁将公平的路指示他，又将知识教训他，将通达的道指教他呢？ 15 看哪，万民都像水桶的一滴，又算如天平上的微尘。他举起众海岛，好像极微之物。 16 利巴嫩的树林不够当柴烧，其中的走兽也不够作燔祭。 17 万民在他面前好像虚无，被他看为不及虚无，乃为虚空。 18 你们究竟将谁比神，用什么形像与神比较呢？ Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, or with the breadth of his hand marked off the heavens? Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket, or weighed the mountains on the scales and the hills in a balance? 13 Who has understood the mind of the LORD, or instructed him as his counselor? 14 Whom did the LORD consult to enlighten him, and who taught him the right way? Who was it that taught him knowledge or showed him the path of understanding? 15 Surely the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are regarded as dust on the scales; he weighs the islands as though they were fine dust. 16 Lebanon is not sufficient for altar fires, nor its animals enough for burnt offerings. 17 Before him all the nations are as nothing; they are regarded by him as worthless and less than nothing. 18 To whom, then, will you compare God? What image will you compare him to? – Isaiah 40:12-18

20 我们不至消灭，是出于耶和华诸般的慈爱。是因他的怜悯不至断绝。 23 每早晨，这都是新的。你的诚实极其广大。 24 我心里说，耶和华是我的分，因此，我要仰望他。 25 凡等候耶和华，心里寻求他的，耶和华必施恩给他。 26 人仰望耶和华，静默等候他的救恩，这原是好的。 主虽使人忧愁，还要照他诸般的慈爱发怜悯。 33 因他并不甘心使人受苦，使人忧愁。 34 人将世上被囚的踹（原文作压）在脚下， 35 或在至高者面前屈枉人， 36 或在人的讼事上颠倒是非，这都是主看不上的。 37 除非主命定，谁能说成就成呢？ 38 祸福不都出于至高者的口吗？ Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. 23 They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. 24 I say to myself, "The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for him." 25 The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; 26 it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD Though he brings grief, he will show compassion, so great is his unfailing love. 33 For he does not willingly bring affliction or grief to the children of men. 34 To crush underfoot all prisoners in the land, 35 to deny a man his rights before the Most High, 36 to deprive a man of justice-- would not the Lord see such things? 37 Who can speak and have it happen if the Lord has not decreed it? 38 Is it not from the mouth of the Most High that both calamities and good things come? – Lamentations 3:22-26, 31-38

These he carried off to the temple of his god in Babylonia and put in the treasure house of his god. 9 神使但以理在太监长眼前蒙恩惠，受怜悯。 Now God had caused the official to show favor and sympathy to Daniel, 17 这四个少年人，神在各样文字学问上（学问原文作智慧），赐给他们聪明知识。但以理又明白各样的异象和梦兆。17 To these four young men God gave knowledge and understanding of all kinds of literature and learning. And Daniel could understand visions and dreams of all kinds.

22 王吩咐太监长亚施毗拿，从以色列人的宗室和贵胄中带进几个人来， 4 就是年少没有残疾，相貌俊美，通达各样学问，知识聪明俱备，足能侍立在王宫里的，要教他们迦勒底的文字言语。Then the king ordered Ashpenaz, chief of his court officials, to bring in some of the Israelites from the royal family and the nobility-- 4 young men without any physical defect, handsome, showing aptitude for every kind of learning, well informed, quick to understand, and qualified to serve in the king's palace. He was to teach them the language and literature of the Babylonians. - Daniel 1:3-4

23 王吩咐太监长亚施毗拿，从以色列人的宗室和贵胄中带进几个人来， 4 就是年少没有残疾，相貌俊美，通达各样学问，知识聪明俱备，足能侍立在王宫里的，要教他们迦勒底的文字言语。Then the king ordered Ashpenaz, chief of his court officials, to bring in some of the Israelites from the royal family and the nobility-- 4 young men without any physical defect, handsome, showing aptitude for every kind of learning, well informed, quick to understand, and qualified to serve in the king's palace. 24 處於這個罪惡敗壞的世界, 我們皆難免不遭受災害 - We suffer from calamity because we are part of a sinful, corrupted world. . .  . . . 但上帝仍以祂至高的主杈繼續看顧我們的處境 - but God remains sovereign and continues to intercede on our behalf    上帝賜福那些向祂持守忠誠的人God blesses allegiance to Him   

25 但以理却立志不以王的膳和王所饮的酒玷污自己，所以求太监长容他不玷污自己。- But Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine, and he asked the chief official for permission not to defile himself this way. Daniel 1:8 9 神使但以理在太监长眼前蒙恩惠，受怜悯。 Now God had caused the official to show favor and sympathy to Daniel, 15 过了十天，见他们的面貌比用王膳的一切少年人更加俊美肥胖。At the end of the ten days they looked healthier and better nourished than any of the young men who ate the royal food. 17 这四个少年人，神在各样文字学问上（学问原文作智慧），赐给他们聪明知识。但以理又明白各样的异象和梦兆。17 To these four young men God gave knowledge and understanding of all kinds of literature and learning. And Daniel could understand visions and dreams of all kinds.

27 王与他们谈论，见少年人中无一人能比但以理，哈拿尼雅，米沙利，亚撒利雅，所以留他们在王面前侍立。 20 王考问他们一切事，就见他们的智慧聪明比通国的术士和用法术的胜过十倍。 21 到古列王元年，但以理还在。 The king talked with them, and he found none equal to Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah; so they entered the king's service. 20 In every matter of wisdom and understanding about which the king questioned them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters in his whole kingdom. 21 And Daniel remained there until the first year of King Cyrus. – Daniel 1:19-21 波斯王古列元年，耶和华为要应验借耶利米口所说的话，就激动波斯王古列的心，使他下诏通告全国，说， 23 波斯王古列如此说，耶和华天上的神已将天下万国赐给我，又嘱咐我在犹大的耶路撒冷为他建造殿宇。你们中间凡作他子民的，可以上去，愿耶和华他的神与他同在。 In the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, in order to fulfill the word of the LORD spoken by Jeremiah, the LORD moved the heart of Cyrus king of Persia to make a proclamation throughout his realm and to put it in writing: 23 "This is what Cyrus king of Persia says: " 'The LORD, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth and he has appointed me to build a temple for him at Jerusalem in Judah. Anyone of his people among you--may the LORD his God be with him, and let him go up.' “ – 2 Chronicles 36:22-23

29 撒玛利亚必担当自己的罪，因为悖逆她的神。她必倒在刀下，婴孩必被摔死。孕妇必被剖开。
但以理却立志不以王的膳和王所饮的酒玷污自己，所以求太监长容他不玷污自己。- But Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine, and he asked the chief official for permission not to defile himself this way. Daniel 1:8 撒玛利亚必担当自己的罪，因为悖逆她的神。她必倒在刀下，婴孩必被摔死。孕妇必被剖开。 The people of Samaria must bear their guilt, because they have rebelled against their God. They will fall by the sword; their little ones will be dashed to the ground, their pregnant women ripped open.“ – Hosea 13:16

30 但以理却立志不以王的膳和王所饮的酒玷污自己，所以求太监长容他不玷污自己。- But Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine, and he asked the chief official for permission not to defile himself this way. Daniel 1:8

31 不要效法这个世界。只要心意更新而变化，叫你们察验何为神的善良，纯全可喜悦的旨意。
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will. – Romans 12:2
