3 你们祷告的时候，不可像那假冒为善的人，爱站在会堂里和十字路口上祷告，故意叫人看见。我实在告诉你们，他们已经得了他们的赏赐。 6 你祷告的时候，要进你的内屋，关上门，祷告你在暗中的父，你父在暗中察看，必然报答你。 7 你们祷告，不可像外邦人，用许多重复话。他们以为话多了必蒙垂听。 8 你们不可效法他们。因为你们没有祈求以先，你们所需用的，你们的父早已知道了。 9 所以你们祷告，要这样说，我们在天上的父，愿人都尊你的名为圣。 "And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. 9 "This, then, is how you should pray: " 'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, - Matthew 6:5-9

10 若偏离耶和华去顺从那不能救人的虚神是无益的。 22 耶和华既喜悦选你们作他的子民，就必因他的大名不撇弃你们。 23 至于我，断不停止为你们祷告，以致得罪耶和华。我必以善道正路指教你们。 24 只要你们敬畏耶和华，诚诚实实地尽心事奉他，想念他向你们所行的事何等大。 25 你们若仍然作恶，你们和你们的王必一同灭亡。 Do not turn away after useless idols. They can do you no good, nor can they rescue you, because they are useless. 22 For the sake of his great name the LORD will not reject his people, because the LORD was pleased to make you his own. 23 As for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the LORD by failing to pray for you. And I will teach you the way that is good and right. 24 But be sure to fear the LORD and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he has done for you. 25 Yet if you persist in doing evil, both you and your king will be swept away Samuel 12:21-25

13 不要为自己积攒财宝在地上，地上有虫子咬，能锈坏，也有贼挖窟窿来偷。 20 只要积攒财宝在天上，天上没有虫子咬，不能锈坏，也没有贼挖窟窿来偷。 21 因为你的财宝在哪里，你的心也在哪里。
"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. – Matthew 6:19-21
