7 The vessels master and the Coast Guard “swimmer”, who had remained aboard the vessel to oversee the evacuation of the crew, still needed to be lifted off of the vessel. While they awaited air lift, the vessel broke in half with them aboard. The HH-65 Dolphin from the ALEX HALEY accomplished this when they finished the water rescues and search for further survivors in the water.
