3 793 – 753 BC Jonah 約拿書 1:1-3 1耶和華的話臨到亞米太的兒子約拿，說： 2 「你起來往尼尼微大城去，向其中的居民呼喊，因為他們的惡達到我面前。」 3 約拿卻起來，逃往他施去躲避耶和華；下到約帕，遇見一隻船，要往他施去。他就給了船價，上了船，要與船上的人同往他施去躲避耶和華。(和合本) 1The word of the LORD came to Jonah the son of Amittai saying, 2 “Arise, go to Nineveh the great city and cry against it, for their wickedness has come up before Me.” 3 But Jonah rose up to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the LORD. So he went down to Joppa, found a ship which was going to Tarshish, paid the fare and went down into it to go with them to Tarshish from the presence of the LORD. (NIV)

12 Jonah 約拿書 1:3-5 3約拿卻起來，逃往他施去躲避耶和華；下到約帕，遇見一隻船，要往他施去。他就給了船價，上了船，要與船上的人同往他施去躲避耶和華。 4然而耶和華使海中起大風，海就狂風大作，甚至船幾乎破壞。  5水手便懼怕，各人哀求自己的神。他們將船上的貨物拋在海中，為要使船輕些。約拿已下到底艙，躺臥沉睡。  3 But Jonah rose up to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the LORD. So he went down to Joppa, found a ship which was going to Tarshish, paid the fare and went down into it to go with them to Tarshish from the presence of the LORD.4 The LORD hurled a great wind on the sea and there was a great storm on the sea so that the ship was about to break up. 5 Then the sailors became afraid and every man cried to his god, and they threw the cargo which was in the ship into the sea to lighten it for them. But Jonah had gone below into the hold of the ship, lain down and fallen sound asleep.

16 Jonah 約拿書 1:6-7 6 船主到他那裡對他說：「你這沉睡的人哪，為何這樣呢？起來，求告你的神，或者神顧念我們，使我們不致滅亡。」7 船上的人彼此說：「來吧，我們掣籤，看看這災臨到我們是因誰的緣故。」於是他們掣籤，掣出約拿來。  6 So the captain approached him and said, “How is it that you are sleeping? Get up, call on your god. Perhaps your god will be concerned about us so that we will not perish.” 7 Each man said to his mate, “Come, let us cast lots so we may learn on whose account this calamity has struck us.” So they cast lots and the lot fell on Jonah.

17 Jonah 約拿書 1:8-10 8 眾人對他說：「請你告訴我們，這災臨到我們是因誰的緣故？你以何事為業？你從哪裡來？你是哪一國？屬哪一族的人？」 9 他說：「我是希伯來人。我敬畏耶和華─那創造滄海旱地之天上的　神。」 10 他們就大大懼怕，對他說：「你做的是甚麼事呢？」他們已經知道他躲避耶和華，因為他告訴了他們。 8 Then they said to him, “Tell us, now! On whose account has this calamity struck us? What is your occupation? And where do you come from? What is your country? From what people are you?” 9 He said to them, “I am a Hebrew, and I fear the LORD God of heaven who made the sea and the dry land.” 10 Then the men became extremely frightened and they said to him, “How could you do this?” For the men knew that he was fleeing from the presence of the LORD, because he had told them.

19 Jonah 約拿書 1:11-13 11 他們問他說：「我們當向你怎樣行，使海浪平靜呢？」這話是因海浪越發翻騰。 12 他對他們說：「你們將我抬起來，拋在海中，海就平靜了；我知道你們遭這大風是因我的緣故。」 13 然而那些人竭力盪槳，要把船攏岸，卻是不能，因為海浪越發向他們翻騰。 11 So they said to him, “What should we do to you that the sea may become calm for us?”—for the sea was becoming increasingly stormy. 12 He said to them, “Pick me up and throw me into the sea. Then the sea will become calm for you, for I know that on account of me this great storm has come upon you.”13 However, the men rowed desperately to return to land but they could not, for the sea was becoming even stormier against them.

20 Jonah 約拿書 1:14-17 14 他們便求告耶和華說:「耶和華啊，我們懇求你，不要因這人的性命使我們死亡，不要使流無辜血的罪歸與我們；因為你─耶和華是隨自己的意旨行事。」 15 他們遂將約拿抬起，拋在海中，海的狂浪就平息了。 16 那些人便大大敬畏耶和華，向耶和華獻祭，並且許願。 17 耶和華安排一條大魚吞了約拿，他在魚腹中三日三夜。  14 Then they called on the LORD and said, “We earnestly pray, O LORD, do not let us perish on account of this man’s life and do not put innocent blood on us; for You, O LORD, have done as You have pleased.” 15 So they picked up Jonah, threw him into the sea, and the sea stopped its raging. 16 Then the men feared the LORD greatly, and they offered a sacrifice to the LORD and made vows.17And the LORD appointed a great fish to swallow Jonah, and Jonah was in the stomach of the fish three days and three nights.

Romans 4: 如經上所記：「我已經立了你作萬國的父。」他所信的，是叫死人得生命、使無變為有的　神。18在他沒有盼望的時候，仍然懷著盼望去信，因此就成了萬國的父，正如　神所說：「你的後裔將要這樣眾多。」 17 As it is written: “I have made you a father of many nations.” He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed—the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not. 18 Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.”  Hope for this Life 今生的盼望: Abraham will have his own newborn son Hope for Future/Eternity 未來/永恆的盼望: Father of many nations

31 Galatians加拉太書3:6-9 6 So also Abraham “believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” 7 Understand, then, that those who have faith are children of Abraham. 8Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: “All nations will be blessed through you.” 9 So those who rely on faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith. 正如亞伯拉罕信　神，這就算為他的義。 所以你們要知道，有信心的人，就是亞伯拉罕的子孫。 聖經既然預先看見　神要使外族人因信稱義，就預先把好信息傳給亞伯拉罕：「萬國都必因你得福。」 這樣看來，有信心的人，必定和有信心的亞伯拉罕一同得福。
