3 英譯中常用的方法和技巧(上) 詞類轉譯法：在英譯中的過程中，原文中有些詞在譯文中需要轉換詞類（如：動詞轉化為名詞，形容詞轉化為名詞等），才能使中文譯文通順自然。例如: A glance through his office window offers a panoramic view of the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial. 從他的辦公室窗口可以一眼看到華盛頓紀念碑和林肯紀念館的全景。

He is a complicated man – moody, mercurial, with a melancholy streak. 他是一個性格複雜的人—喜怒無常、反覆多變、有些鬱鬱寡歡。

5 英譯中常用的方法和技巧(中) 分句、合句法:分句法是把原文的一個句子譯成兩個或兩個以上的句子；合句法是把原文兩個或兩個以上的簡單句子或一個複合句在譯文中用一個簡單句表達。 They, not surprisingly, did not respond at all. 他們根本沒有答覆，這是不足為奇的。

6 英譯中常用的方法和技巧(中) 長句的譯法: 翻譯長句時，首先要弄清楚原文的句法結構，找出整個句子的中心內容及其各層意思，然後分析幾層意思之間的相互邏輯關係(因果、時間順序等) ，再按照中文特點和表達方式，正確地譯出原文的意思，不拘泥於原文的型式。
