3 4章3-4節:因為往日隨從外邦人的心意、行邪淫、惡慾、醉酒、荒宴、群飲、並可惡拜偶像的事、時候已經夠了． 4 他們在這些事上、見你們不與他們同奔那放蕩無度的路、就以為怪、毀謗你們．
4:3-4: For the time already past is sufficient for you to have carried out the desire of the Gentiles, having pursued a course of sensuality, lusts, drunkenness, carousing, drinking parties and abominable idolatries. 4 In all this, they are surprised that you do not run with them into the same excesses of dissipation, and they malign you;

6 三一上帝的百姓 1章2節: 就是照父 神的先見被揀選、藉著聖靈得成聖潔、以致順服耶穌基督、又蒙他血所灑的人．願恩惠平安、多多的加給你們。
1章2節: 就是照父　神的先見被揀選、藉著聖靈得成聖潔、以致順服耶穌基督、又蒙他血所灑的人．願恩惠平安、多多的加給你們。 according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, by the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with His blood: May grace and peace be yours in the fullest measure.

8 上帝的恩典: 十架, 群體, 與盼望 1章3-5節: 願頌讚歸與我們主耶穌基督的父　神、他曾照自己的大憐憫、藉耶穌基督從死裡復活、重生了我們、叫我們有活潑的盼望、 可以得著不能朽壞、不能玷污、不能衰殘、為你們存留在天上的基業。 你們這因信蒙　神能力保守的人、必能得著所預備、到末世要顯現的救恩。 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

9 1章22節: 你們既因順從真理、潔淨了自己的心、以致愛弟兄沒有虛假、就當從心裡彼此切實相愛．Since you have in obedience to the truth purified your souls for a sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from the heart. 3章8節: 你們都要同心、彼此體恤、相愛如弟兄、存慈憐謙卑的心． All of you, have unity of spirit, sympathy, love of the brethren, a tender heart and a humble mind. 4章8節: 最要緊的是彼此切實相愛．因為愛能遮掩許多的罪。 Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins. 5章5節: 你們眾人、也都要以謙卑束腰、彼此順服。 all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another.

10 2章5節:你們來到主面前、也就像活石、被建造(oivkodomei/sqe)成為屬靈的家(oi=koj pneumatiko,j)、作聖潔的祭司、藉著耶穌基督奉獻　神所悅納的靈祭。 you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 4章10節: 各人要照所得的恩賜彼此服事、作　神百般恩賜的好管家(oivkono,moi)．As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 4章17節: 因為時候到了、審判要從　神的家(tou/ oi;kou tou/ qeou/)起首． For it is time for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God?

12 信心的試煉 1章 6-9節: 因此、你們是大有喜樂、但如今、在百般的試煉中暫時憂愁． 叫你們的信心既被試驗、就比那被火試驗、仍然能壞的金子、更顯寶貴．可以在耶穌基督顯現的時候、得著稱讚、榮耀、尊貴。 你們雖然沒有見過他、卻是愛他．如今雖不得看見、卻因信他就有說不出來、滿有榮光的大喜樂． 並且得著你們信心的果效、就是靈魂的救恩。 In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, 7 so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 8 and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, 9 obtaining as the outcome of your faith the salvation of your souls.

14 與基督同受苦難 1章10-12節: 論到這救恩、那預先說你們要得恩典的眾先知、早已詳細的尋求考察． 就是考察在他們心裡基督的靈、預先證明基督受苦難、後來得榮耀、是指著甚麼時候、並怎樣的時候。 他們得了啟示、知道他們所傳講的一切事、〔傳講原文作服事〕不是為自己、乃是為你們．那靠著從天上差來的聖靈、傳福音給你們的人、現在將這些事報給你們．天使也願意詳細察看這些事。 As to this salvation, the prophets who prophesied of the grace that would come to you made careful searches and inquiries, 11 seeking to know what person or time the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating as He predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to follow. 12 It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves, but you, in these things which now have been announced to you through those who preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven-- things into which angels long to look.

15 2 章21節: 你們蒙召原是為此．因基督也為你們受過苦、給你們留下榜樣、叫你們跟隨他的腳蹤行．For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps, 3章17-18節: 神的旨意若是叫你們因行善受苦、總強如因行惡受苦。因基督也曾一次為罪受苦。For it is better, if God should will it so, that you suffer for doing what is right rather than for doing what is wrong. 18 For Christ also died for sins once for all… 4章1節: 基督既在肉身受苦、你們也當將這樣的心志作為兵器．Therefore, since Christ has suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same purpose. 4章12-13節: 親愛的弟兄啊, 有火的試驗臨到你們, 不要以為怪, 倒要歡喜; 因你們是與基督一同受苦, 使你們在他榮耀顯現的時候, 也可以歡喜快樂． Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal among you, which comes upon you for your testing, as though some strange thing were happening to you; 13 but to the degree that you share the sufferings of Christ, keep on rejoicing, so that also at the revelation of His glory you may rejoice with exultation.
