5 Grammar A-not-A question
Verbs and adjectives are often used to form A-not-A question  A-not-A question is a question sentence, so do not add 嗎‘question particle’ at the end of the sentence Hui-Ju Chuang

6 A-not-A (verb) Monosyllabic verb (姓、叫、有、吃…etc) e.g. 你姓不姓王? 他吃不吃中國菜?
王朋 姐姐? Disyllabic verb (喜歡、認識…etc) e.g. 你喜歡不喜歡北京? 你喜不喜歡北京? 你認識不認識李友? 你認不認識李友? 有没有 Hui-Ju Chuang

7 A-not-A (Adjective) Monosyllabic adj (忙、大、好…etc) e.g. 你今天忙不忙? 你家大不大?
這個人好不好? Disyllabic adj (快樂kuàilè…etc) e.g. 你快樂不快樂? 你快不快樂? Hui-Ju Chuang

8 為什麼 ‘why’ is used to ask reason, and the answer is always expressed with 因為 ‘because’ A: 你為什麼喜歡吃中國菜? B: 因為中國菜很好吃。 Hui-Ju Chuang

9 還 ‘also; in addition’ 還indicates an additional or accumulated action or event denoted by the verb, so the subject is usually the same with the former part of the sentence e.g. 李友喜歡吃中國菜，還喜歡吃美國菜。 也 Hui-Ju Chuang

10 還 vs.也 也 ‘too; also’ 也expresses the similarity of two parallel substances, or the similarity of different things e.g. 王朋喜歡吃中國菜，我也喜歡吃中國菜。 e.g. 王朋是醫生，也是老師。 Hui-Ju Chuang
