凡事都是虛空？ Ecclesiastes 傳道書 1:1-11

7 虛空 Vanity : hebel – Not emptiness 不是只有虛空的意思 Vapor / Breath / Smoke 蒸汽、氣息、煙 =抓不著、短暫的、不容易明白的 Temporary, hard to grasp , hard to understand

16 Ecclesiastes 傳道書 1:7-10 7 江河都往海裡流，海卻不滿；江河從何處流，仍歸還何處。 8 萬事令人厭煩(或譯：萬物滿有困乏)，人不能說盡。眼看，看不飽；耳聽，聽不足。 9 已有的事後必再有；已行的事後必再行。日光之下並無新事。 10 豈有一件事人能指著說這是新的？哪知，在我們以前的世代早已有了。 7 All the rivers run into the sea, yet the sea is not full; to the place from which the rivers come, there they return again. 8 All things are full of labor; man cannot express it. The eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing. 9 That which has been is what will be, that which is done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun. 10 Is there anything of which it may be said, “See, this is new”? It has already been in ancient times before us.

Life is going around in circles Wonder will it ever end? If I die, baby, will you miss me Or just find another friend? Does it matter what I do? Live life right or bear a grudge? Does it matter what I do Is there anyone to judge?

23 I have been to many places I have journeyed through the mind Though I've found some different faces Another answer I can't find: Does it matter what I do? Is there anyone to say? Does it matter what I do? Is there any other way?

24 I have got what I once dreamed of As a child, so long ago But my life just goes in circles 'Cause one answer I don't know: Does it matter what I do? Who will hear me if I cry? Does it matter what I do? Does it matter if I die?

27 傳道書 Ecclesiastes 1:3-4 人一切的勞碌，就是他在日光之下的勞碌，有甚麼益處呢？ 一代過去(走)，一代又來，地卻永遠長存。 What advantage does man have in all his work which he does under the sun? A generation goes and a generation comes, but the earth remains forever. 一代過去 (走) goes vs 地永遠長存 (站立) remains, stands 馬太Matthew 6:19-20不要為自己積攢財寶在地上；地上有蟲子咬，能銹壞，也有賊挖窟窿來偷。 只要積攢財寶在天上；天上沒有蟲子咬，不能銹壞，也沒有賊挖窟窿來偷。Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal

Jesus answered and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Born Again = New Life 新生命 II Corinthians 哥林多後書 5:17 若有人在基督裡，他就是新造的人，舊事已過， 都變成新的了. Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. New creation 新造的人

34 Revelation啟示錄21:3-5 我聽見有大聲音從寶座出來說：「看哪，　神的帳幕在人間。他要與人同住，他們要作他的子民。　神要親自與他們同在，作他們的　神。 神要擦去他們一切的眼淚；不再有死亡，也不再有悲哀、哭號、疼痛，因為以前的事都過去了。」 坐寶座的說：「看哪，我將一切都更新了！」 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them, 4 and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.” 5 And He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.”
