附加問句：附加在句子後面的問句。 *說話的人有一個想法，要確認是否為真，於是先敘述想法，再問是不是這樣? You are a student, aren’t you?  你是一個學生，不是嗎?

4 Jolin isn’t a singer, is she? Jolin不是歌手，是嗎?
口訣：肯定變否定；否定變肯定，要用代名詞。 Sam is tall, isn’t he? Sam很高，不是嗎? Jolin isn’t a singer, is she? Jolin不是歌手，是嗎? 附加問句前面，要加逗號，並以問號結尾。

5 敘述句含有Be動詞，附加問句也會有Be動詞。 You are Tina’s sister, ________ _______?
Sam isn’t at home now, _______ ________? I am tall, am I not? / aren’t I? 我很高，不是嗎? Jack was busy yesterday, wasn’t he? They weren’t with you last night, were they?

附加問句語調的上升，代表是真的問句，想詢問訊息。 附加問句語調的下降，通常不是真的問句，說話者對答案很確定，只是想要對方同意(呼應)自己的話。 Ms. Lu is an English teacher, isn’t she?

回答，不符合事實，就以No回應。 Taiwan is a small island, isn’t it? Yes, it is a small island. You get up early on Sunday, don’t you? No, I don’t get up early on Sunday.

回答，不符合事實，就以No回應。 Ms. Lu isn’t heavy, is she? No, she isn’t heavy. You don’t like vacation, do you? Yes, I like vacation.
